LOONEY TUNES / "Porky In Egypt" - 1938

This is one of my very favorite Looney Tune gems! When you really tune into it, it is a very surreal trip and kinda creepy at times. Bob Clampett, Norm McCabe, Earnest Gee and Carl Stalling, what the heck in the world could be better than that?! Oh yeah, Mel Blanc does all the voices to boot!! So there you go!!! Go check it out if you know what's good for you...

We start with these cool dudes shooting dice in the alley, c'mon seven-eleven! Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!!

This one was always a good gag, watching a beautiful lady walking down the street...

And kapow!!.. Right in the kisser!

The camel ride tour to see the homes of  the mummy stars is open and the tourists pile onto the 70 foot long camel bus there, and they take off into the desert.

Porky just misses the bus and ends up renting his own camel.

Him and Humpty Bumpty do their best to follow, but...

It's freaking hot in the desert in the middle of the day!! The bottom pic shows what happens to an oasis with palm trees and a pool of cool water.

Humpty Bumpty cannot go on any further and that's when the sun's rays punch him square in the head!

Everything's spinning around when Humpty starts hearing those strange voices talking to him, calling him by his name!

Here, Humpty looks like a Basil Wolverton comic character!

Then, Humpty tells Porky that the camels are coming to save them!

Porky's had a bit too much sun too and sees Humpty in a swimming pool...

After diving head first into the sand, Porky's pulled out by his tail.

So, Humpty runs into a tree trying to get away from the voices and it clears his head, he tells Porky that he's okay now. But the infernal voices return. He picks up Porky and runs into the same tree again! That gag is sooo good!

Humpty high tails it back to the city, and...

He locks all four doors to his room before feeling safe.

Now Porky goes bananas after that kwazy adventure!!

See you again on Wednesday, hang in there!!..

SATURDAY NIGHT ON SATURN - 21 Records That Look Like Sci-Fi Soundtracks But Aren't

A couple of years ago I downloaded this huge file of one million unsorted record covers from the internet archive. I've deleted about half of them, but it's truly amazing how many records have been made in a fairly short amount of time. So, this is a bunch I've found that look like movies but aren't!
This was a digital release by Coming Soon!!! in 2014.
The Wait is Over!

This German album called "Servitors Of The Gods" by The Black Explosion came out in 2012!

This French Album by Christian Clozier came out in 1992.

This 2012 seven inch surf single looks legitimately 1965.

This two CD Australian release of various artists came out in 1999.
It looks like Dr. Who in Las Vegas!

This 2009 three song EP from Russia called "FLAME" looks like an upcoming adventure from somewhere!

Maybe if Jerry Warren had made a Sci-Fi movie called "The Mothership."

This 1958 LP by Les Baxter looks like it could have been the soundtrack for "Missile To The Moon."

Is it Outer Limits and Outer Space or is it Out Of Limits and Out Of Space?

This 2014 digital release is a soundtrack without a movie.
How's that work?

This 2010 disco single from Argentina looks like some unknown Czechoslovakian movie from the 1960's.

This Hawkwind record looks like an episode of "Flash Gordon."

This 2012 Belarus digital release looks like it's from a movie called "Star-Sub."
And Thanx to Randall Landers for the link to this page that's all about 'em!!

This 2010 album by The Sword called "Warp Riders" looks like a 60's Sci-Fi paperback.

Maybe they thought there was a movie to go along with this 1997 LP when they made it.

People in England have been waiting 21 years for this to become an actual movie!

This 2001 German CD came out after there were a whole bunch of Perry Rhodan radio shows released on cassette in the 80's.

This 2008 mini-album CD has a song on it called "Space Elevator."

This 2014 Australian digital release of various artists was one of many with the same theme. Could have fooled me that there wasn't a movie called "Primal Drive."

This last one is one of my favorite album covers. I had this 1976 French record by Patrick Vian until somebody offered me a nice price for it that I couldn't turn down.

ULTRAMAN / "The Science Patrol To Outer Space" - 1966

In this wacky episode, Professor Mori is going to Venus in the rocket he invented. The Science Patrol is assigned to following him into space to insure that everything goes off without a hitch.

The professor checks in with the Science Patrol to inform them that all is well and he's on his way to Venus...

But unfortunately the transmission is interrupted by a message from a Baltan alien, to let Earth know that they're back to cause more trouble.

Professor Mori's mind has been taken over by the alien and he sends a horde of them to Earth.

The monsters arrive in a big blue bubble where they exit and go on the attack.

Patrolman Ide is flying in his rocket plane and pulls out his new weapon, the Mars 133.

He takes aim and starts shooting the critters out of the sky, a handful at a time.

Okay, this shot here is my favorite, what a hoot! This is the way the individual Baltan monsters fall to the ground after being shot.

In the meantime, Hayata and other crew members rescue Professor Mori from his rocket and head back to Earth. But, the Professor causes them to crash on the undiscovered Planet R!

Then a Baltan shows up and grows to giant size...

It uses its claws like a leaf blower and after the Science Patrol's rocket is pushed around, Hayata changes into our giant hero, Ultraman!

After a brief battle with the Baltan, Ultraman uses a special slicing blade trick.

And it slices the ugly old monster right in half!! Pretty damn cool.

Back on Earth though, the Baltans have started another round of deadly attacks, this time targeting fuel depots in the city.

So, Ultraman uses a special teleporting device and leaves Planet R to appear on Earth to battle the invaders.

And the last Baltan gets sliced in half just like the other one, bringing our episode to an end. Check in tomorrow for more fun from The Dungeon Gang!!..
