THE EYES OF THE MUMMY / The Eyes Are Alive!! - 1918

Here's a pretty wild movie from 102 years ago! The story goes like this... A woman is kidnapped and held captive in an ancient Egyptian temple by a strange man. She's rescued and flees to England with her new friend, but soon finds that her mysterious captor is still haunting her.

It stars the exotic Pola Negri as the captured woman, her career began in 1914 and ended in 1964 with 69 acting credits and she lived to be 90 years old.

In Egypt, wealthy Brit Albert Wendland goes in search of a beautiful woman he saw roaming in the desert. He buys a horse and sets off to find her.

Albert comes across a temple where a strange man seemingly guards the place.

The man's name is Radu, he shows Albert some of the strange things inside, like this stone carving that has human eyes, a little unnerving for our explorer.

Then, he comes upon a chamber and finds the woman he's looking for, her name is Ma and she want to escape from Radu, who wants her for his personal slave!

Albert and Ma ride away on his horse and when radu finds out, he vows to find her, wherever she is... He goes wandering through the desert and is found by another British explorer who takes him to England to be his servant.

In England now, Ma mesmerizes Albert's friends with her exotic dancing. She gets a contract to dance at the opera and quickly becomes a star.

One night though, Radu (who ends up in the same place in England!) goes to watch her, but, uses his hypnotic will to scuttle the performance. Ma faints and is taken backstage.

She's affected by the ordeal and is having nightmares about Radu...

At the place he's staying, Radu sees a picture of Ma hanging there. He goes into a rage and is now out for blood! And, he knows where she lives!!

Ma senses danger, and sure enough, Radu appears at her window, he breaks the glass and enters her room...

In a fury, Radu seeks to use his knife on her for escaping.

But, he drops her and she falls down the stairs, She remains motionless.

Horrified at what he has done, well, he saves the blade for himself.

Albert comes in to discover that it's too late, Ma has died... We're back tomorrow in this insane moment in time to brighten your day a bit, here, at The Dungeon!!..

LAVENDER CASTLE - "Interface" (2000)

This week's Weird Ass Wednesday installment is Episode 8 of Season two of a Gerry Anderson production titled "Lavender Castle" that was on for two seasons in 1999 - 2000.
I could be wrong, but I don't think this kid's show ever aired in the United States.

"Interface" was the second to last episode of the series.
Each show was only ten minutes long!

Here are the main characters, starting with Captain Thrice and his pal Walking Stick! Check out the third eye in the Captain's nose!

Here's the pilot of the ship known as Roger!

The ship's engineer is named Isambard!

The ship's Doctor is a female named Lyca!

Sir Squeakalot gets the robot role!

And......the navigator is called Sproggle!

Their arch enemy is this character known as Dr. Agon whose goal is to bring darkness to the whole universe!

The overall look of the show is pretty cool!

As the crew flies over this one planet, they find the surface is littered with dead bodies!

Upon closer inspection, the dead bodies turn out to be only paper cutouts used by Dr Agon to lure the the crew down to the surface, so he can ambush them!
Agon then gasses them all, and it leaves only Sqeakalot left to fend for himself!

Dr. Agon's surprise welcome gift is a gigantic remote controlled robot spider creature!

The spider goes right after Sir Squeakalot!

From the looks of that posterior, this must be a poisonous robot spider!

Squeakalot might be small, but his intelligence enables him to win the battle!
Too bad everybody else slept through the whole ordeal, and he doesn't even get the credit he deserves, but that's just the way it goes, isn't it?

HAMMER HOUSE OF HORROR / "The Children Of The Full Moon" - 1980

Here's a spooky story from those Hammer Guys... In this tale, a married couple are on vacation when their car breaks down and are lost in the woods looking for help. They stumble upon a creepy old mansion where an elderly women lives with her very unusual children.

Tom and Sarah are driving through the woods when their BMW breaks down. They decide to seek help by walking down a road to see where it leads, and low and behold, they come across an old mansion...

An overly polite Mrs. Ardoy (Diana Dors) greets them and welcome them inside to use the phone. Sarah notices all the strange children there, and they're attracted to her. Now, what's going on around here?

After a few thrills, Tom and Sarah have to spend the night at the mansion. Tom was attacked by an animal outside in dark earlier and doesn't buy the story that it was a stag by Mrs. Ardoy.

And after a few moments, the stupid stag story is thrown out the window!..

Tom climbs out the window and tries to go down the drain pipe to find help. In the meantime, Sarah is in the room by herself when she gets an unwelcome visit from a werewolf, with the merry consent of Mrs. Ardoy, who then closes the door.

Tom hears Sarah's screams and tries to get back up to the room, but unfortunately falls and wakes up in a hospital. Sarah tells him that it was just a dream caused by his concussion...

Then, Sarah starts acting like a royal bitch towards Tom! And eats a lot of meat.

Sarah disappears from their house so Tom decides to see if it was all a dream, or did it really happen? As he look around in the woods, a big guy appears and ax Tom if he can help him.

Sarah has packed her bag and gone to the mansion, and something's happening!

The guy's giving Tom the runaround, but when he mentions werewolves, the guy comes out of his shell... And in the end, poor Tom gets the ax!!

Sarah has just given birth to a baby boy wolf, and now that her job is over, time to put a sheet over this post... Join us again Wednesday for more terror, here at The Dungeon!!..
