IT! - "Curse Of The Golem" (1967)

Tonight's Saturday Night Special is one of the few monster movies from the 60's that we haven't done yet, so let's just check it out, because although it's kind of silly, it's really not too bad!

It's called "It!" and/or sometimes, "Curse Of The Golem!"

The star of the show is Dungeon perennial favourite Roddy (Planet Of The Apes) McDowall!

So just what is a Golem anyway? In Jewish folklore, a Golem is an animated anthropomorphic
being that is magically created entirely from inanimate matter like clay or mud! In this film, it is a sculpture!

This Golem appears to be having his way with this guy, and although he can move his arms and legs, this time he just fell straight down and crushed the guy under the weight of his 3000 pounds!

I love London's swingin' sixties neon lights!!

This is Roddy's wishshewas girlfriend as played by Jill (Horror House) Haworth in this dream sequence!

Roddy manages to take the Golem out for a destructive walk! I guess everybody was too stoned to notice!!

This shot is the epitome of non-hippie 1967 in my less than humble opinion!

Roddy can't take any more of the mayhem and murder and commands the Golem to go away and not come back, and when that doesn't work, he tries to set him on fire!!

Next thing he knows, the Golem is back in the museum!

Great shot of Roddy's pad!

The Golem is a lost and lonely soul! He was just doing what was asked of him!

The Golem is one tough customer! First they try and take him out with a bazooka blast, and then a tank, and when that doesn't work...........

...............They go completely mind-boggling insane.......and...

......Hit the Golem with a nuclear bomb!! WTF?!!

And even that doesn't stop the thing!!!

In the end, the only thing that can destroy the Golem, is the Golem himself, and that's what he chooses to do, and he walks off into the ocean and away from all the destruction caused by man that was far worse than anything he had done!! Talk about a story about misunderstanding! Wow!!

PIGS IS PIGS / Warner Bros. - 1937

It's time for some color, here's a great WB cartoon that fills the bill... The story's about Piggy, he's obsessed with food and that's all he can think about. That night, after being a pig at the dinner table, Piggy has a very interesting nightmare about food...

This cartoon was produced by Leon Schlesinger, the voice actors were Billy Bletcher as the Mad Scientist (with 463 acting credits, mostly voice over, his last credit was for the 1971 TV movie where he played Pappy Yokum), Bernice (all cartoon voice over) Hansen plays Piggy and Martha (THE BEATNIKS) Wentworth as Mama Pig.

Instead of playing with his siblings, Piggy likes to sit there, just thinking about his favorite subject... FOOD!!

He's the first one to the dinner table and tries to grab some fruit before the main course is served, but, Mama Pig smacks his hands with a big stick!

Piggy ties all the plates of spaghetti together, so, when he inhales his food, he gets it all. Mama Pig gives him an ear full for being such a little pig!

Well, it's time for beddy-by and someone turns on the bathroom light for a fast pit stop!

Piggy can't sleep because ha can't stop thinking about that delicious food! Then, he's suddenly at the door of a scientist who invites him in...

He asks Piggy if he wants to sit in the chair and enjoy some tasty food. He says yes, but, it's a trick and Piggy ends up strapped down in a very scientific looking seat instead!

Piggy drops down into the basement where the Mad Scientist works the special control system.

It seems like the scientist is going to help Piggy out with his obsession with food, the first thing up is a giant bowl of soup which feeds him with spinning spoons!

Twelve bananas is the second course, squeezed out of the peels and go right down his throat!

Then, it's time for ice cream, blasted into his mouth with much force!

Next up is spinning pies, which he eats three of... Oh, my tummy!!

The deed is done and Piggy looks like he's actually full for a change!

He's free to leave, so, he sloshes along but notices a tasty turkey leg, just sitting there!

And, Piggy goes... KA-BOOM!! He's had one bite too many!

Well, he wakes up only to realize that it was just a bad dream!... WHEW!! And, when Mama Pig calls the little piggies to breakfast, Piggy's there in half a second and starts shoveling the grub down his throat!.. Which proves, PIGS IS PIGS!! So, we're back tomorrow when Eegah!! will have something special for a Saturday!

MOMBIES - Sam Turich & Gab Cody (2009)

Here's a nice little 12 minute treat on a weird ass Wednesday for you that should give you something to think about until Friday! It was made in 2009, written, directed, and produced by Sam Turich and Gab Cody, shot in  Pittsburgh, Pa. and called.....
MOMBIES!

Is it just a cute little short story about two women cruising around and talking to each other while driving through a cemetery?
Lisa Ann Goldsmith is Becky!

.......Or is it actually a scathing societal statement about parenthood today?
Theo Allyn is Chloe!

The mombies are everywhere, seemingly innocent pushing around their strollers!

But wait a minute, what's really going on here?

Oh, No, the car won't start!!

The freaky horrifying mombies catch up to the two women who are scared almost to death!

They run for their lives!

The creators of "Mombies" saw they had some cool places in their city where they could shoot, and took advantage of them, and that's what I call good film making!

Becky has fallen, and that might be the end of her because now she's in the clutches of the babies!

Chloe scrambles, and runs into town, but the mombies are literally everywhere!

Great shot of the Arsenal Bowling Alley!

Despite war and pestilence, overpopulation is the biggest problem the world faces today! We're never going to be able to make a dent in the economic and environmental woes of the world as long as the human race continues to mindlessly fornicate!

Yes, the ZOMBO Gallery is a real place,

Becky escapes, only to find that.............

Chloe has now become just another mombie too! It's like her former life never even existed!

Chloe looks up only to reveal that, Yes, there truly is a God!
