JEEPERS CREEPERS - "Where'd You Get Those Eyes?" (2001)

Welcome to Demonween Saturday in The Dungeon! It looks like it's going to be one of those kind of weeks!

"Jeepers Creepers" came out in 2001, the same year as our debut film "The Creep," and I have to tell you, for approximately nine million, nine hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars less than what these people spent, our movie looks pretty damn good by comparison!

I'm not quite sure why this is considered a Halloween movie, there's no pumpkins or trick or treating! I guess anything sorta scary is considered Halloween grub these days! So here we go, you've got a brother and sister named Trish and Darry headed home on the back roads!

The very lovely Gina Phillips is Trish! Gina is now 48 and she wasn't in II, but last year they brought her back for "Jeepers Creepers III." She was probably about this thrilled!

Beautiful girl with a beautiful 1960 Chevy Impala, so far so good!
"See the world today, in your Chevrolet, America is asking you to come!" Just don't come to this neck of the woods!

Then the kids see a guy throw something that looks like a body down a hole! Darry falls in by mistake and is not thrilled about what he finds! What kind of a name is Darry anyway? I never heard that one before! Darry is played by Justin (Drunk History) Long!

The song "Jeepers Creepers" by Paul Whiteman and his Swing Wing played on the radio in 1938. It was written by the hitmeisters Johnny Mercer and Harry Warren! Johnny Mercer also wrote the lyrics to "That Old Black Magic," "Satin Doll," and "Moon River" just to name a few!

Everything's gone haywire, the kids are being pursued by some freak, and they need some help!

But they are not going to get any assistance from this rocket surgeon convention!

I'm not taking the time to do any research to find out who this mean sumbitch is, or what his trip is because I basically don't care! The rest of the movie he's chasing the kids, and the "Jeepers Creepers" song plays! Just like "Neon Maniacs," the makers of this film don't bother trying to explain anything! Maybe it's because none of it makes any sense! I know one thing, he just wants to eat one of them!

The kids are safe in the police station! Right!
It's so safe in here, the demon creature breaks into a holding cell and eats one of the prisoners!

Finally, the creature catches up to the kids!

Still in the police station, the demon thing is on the other side of a two-way mirror!

He likes to sniff and lick! He wants one of the kids, we still don't know which one yet!

The creature goes into another full-blown transformation!

The is the look of a girl watching a killer creature demon fly off with her brother into the evening sky! Darry is the chosen one!

Parents are here to get you!

Weepers!
I still prefer movies that actually end, but apparently that's not the way things work any more these days!
Honestly, the 1939 Looney Toons cartoon of "Jeepers Creepers" was more up my alley!
"In the meantime, in between time, Ain't we got fun?"
You want to see something really scary?? You can thank my pal 'The Brain' for this one!

YOUR 2001 film THE CREEP is a masterpiece, especially when compared to this thing!

Speaking of masterpieces, how's your film going?

Aside from having to visit 3 doctors to deal with ongoing health issues, I'm getting there. Was going to start shooting next week but have cast holdups. Was out in the desert scouting locations last week.
