DUNGEON HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN Update #1

Welp, we're four days into our costumed Halloween Countdown Celebration, here at The Dungeon!!.. So, here's an update on the events and mishaps that have been going on. First were a bunch of group introductions to get out of the way. Above are a gang of Kamen Riders that showed up!!

Then, some giant rubber monsters waved to the crowd, like Metal Mo here!

Moon Menace gets a few waves in before the spectators start throwing spark plugs and bottles at him from the peanut gallery!

Bonko got a mixed response...

Oh yeah, we got our virtual hot air balloon ride up and going. It was a hit! The passengers can have the balloon run into telephone poles that fry their asses, they can fall out of the balloon, they can crash it into buildings, get struck by lightning, whatever, so, you can see why everyone loved it!

There was also a posing contest, these guys need some work!

Missy-Might has a wardrobe malfunction, her skirt flies up as she makes a jump down an incline in the mountains out back.

Old Crazy Face simply cannot believe what he just witnessed with Missy... Wowzers!!

Doll shows this harasser what a kick to the head feels like!

Missy-Might was walking back to The Dungeon when a group of these grey guys start making fun of her because everyone saw her undies. They even taunt her...

And when they wouldn't stop, well, this was the outcome. Word is now, don't mess with Missy!

And Allen's back! This time he requested that him and his cycle go up against a huge block of granite, you know, to see who will win.

It doesn't go well for Allen... He's okay but his face got blown off, luckily we have a bunch of mad scientists that will get him back to his old self!

There were a couple of accidents unfortunately. Here, the guy on the left shot an arrow straight up and it came down right into his buddy's chest. They were all looking up, watching the arrow come back down, when it happened.

Another thing that went south was a cannon demonstration by a group of misfits. Someone exchanged the blank used for the demonstration with a live round!!

And of all things, it hit the explosives/candy storage shack and all the candy was destroyed!! Of course we had to order another shipment of candy.

Phil was so pissed off while waiting for the candy to arrive, he punched one of the cannon guys in the face, really hard!! My favorite part of the last four days...

PEEWEE HERMAN ON LETTERMAN - "Halloween" (1983)

Welcome to The Saturday Night Special version of The Countdown To Halloween in The Dungeon!

 

On Halloween night in 1983, Peewee Herman appeared on The David Letterman Show for a glorious nine minutes and twenty-two seconds!

 

It's pure Peewee all the way, and if you're a fan of the man, you're gonna wanna see it!

 

Love it or hate it, Candy Corn was invented in 1888, and was originally called Chicken Feed. The ingredients are basically just sugar!

Peewee is dressed up as a pirate for Halloween.

Right down to a wooden hook for a hand!

Peewee brought along this finger vampire, and has David stick his finger in it's mouth!!

Dave gets two little red spots on his finger out of the deal, and Peewee gets a big laugh out of it!

This show was on 24 years before they released the first iPhone.

David and Peewee have a lot of fun mixing up their faces!

It wasn't until 32 years later in 2015 that Apple introduced their face swap app.

The next segment on the show was a mad lab using green screen technology!

TABONGA LAFFS For 1st Day Of The DUNGEON HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN Celebration!

Here are some Laffs for you from the first day of the Halloween Countdown event taking place, here at The Dungeon!!.. So, here are a few funny things that happened today.

Well, there you go, a few laughs to keep you company over the weekend.

BIRDS IN A SUITCASE - "Part 03" (1968)

 

Tonight's Wild Wednesday is the finale of Birds In A Suitcase, and the ladies of the final ten episodes of "Man In A Suitcase." Episode twenty-one was titled "No Friend of Mine" and featured Phillipa Gail as the wife of a wealthy saboteur in Africa.

In 1971 Phillipa was in a film called "She'll Follow You Anywhere," or as it was released in the U.S., "Passion Potion." Phillipa passed away in 1999, a victim of cancer, at the age of 56.

 

Episode number twenty-two titled "Jigsaw Man" had more than it's share of female characters in it that included Nike Arrighi, who was also in episode seventeen in a larger role.

Shivaun (The Prisoner) O'Casey as Francine just turned 82 yesterday!
 

Bridget (Horse In The House) Armstrong is Louise. Bridget is now 84 years old.

Last but not least is Brenda Lawrence as Marcia. Brenda also had a very small role in Episode three.

Episode twenty-three titled "Web With Four Spiders" starred Jacqueline (Gutter Girls) Ellis as the wife of a lawyer in big trouble.

Episode 24 was called "Which Way Did He Go, McGill?" and featured Rachelle (Son Of Dracula) in one of her only two credits.

The main actress is this episode was Jennifer Jayne as Joy Howells. Jennifer will always be remembered for her parts in "The Crawling Eye," and especially....

 

 .......... "They Came From Beyond Space." Jennifer passed away in 2006 at the age of 74.

 A few of these episodes were directed by Dungeon Hero Freddie Francis, who also directed "They Came From Beyond Space."

 

Episode twenty-five titled "Property Of A Gentleman" has Justine Lord in it as Jane Farson, the daughter of a very wealthy man!

Justine was in the screen classics "Maniac," and "Deadlier Than The Male." Born in 1937, Justine is now 84 years young!

 

Episode number twenty-six titled "The Revolutionaries," has Sonia (Never Take Candy From A Stranger) Fox as Chantal Maza, the daughter of an exiled Swedish Doctor.

Marga Roche as Toni Olsson has only one other credit to her name, the classic "Some Girls Do."

Episode 27 was "Who's Mad Now," and had Austrailian born Audine (Alien Visitor) Leith as an ex old girlfriend of McGill's who is in trouble.

Luanshya Greer has the role of the mad Diana. Luanshya was also in the very last episode of "Man In A Suitcase." Besides that, she was also in "They Came From Beyond Space," and two episodes of "Dr. Who" as Lizan. Very versatile, Luanshya also has seventeen credits as a writer.

Episode twenty-eight named "Three Blinks Of The Eyes" features Faith (The Curse Of King Tut's Tomb) Brook as Eleanor Duzac, an older woman with an unfaithful younger husband. Faith died in 2012 at the age of 90.

The girlfriend of Eleanor's aforementioned unfaithful husband is Bulgarian born Dora (The Dirty Dozen) Reisser, as Janine Dufont. A well known British fashion designer, Dora is now 79 years of age.

Episode twenty-nine was called "Castle In The Clouds," and has Gay Hamilton as Magda, the mistress of a British big shot. In episode five, Gay had a smaller part as a Brunette.

 

Gay was the star of the show, but there was also a short scene that had Jan Williams in it as a cleaning lady. James Bond fans will remember Jan as Red Grant's masseuse in "From Russia With Love."

The last episode of "Man In A Suitcase" is called "Night Flight To Andorra" and has Luanshya Greer, who we just saw in episode twenty-seven, as a tourist in the wrong place at the completely wrong time!

 

I'll round this out with the provacative Nita (The Crimson Cult, The Love Factor) Lorraine, and a toast to the the rest of the lovely birds who graced this show. Nita is now 79.
