RETURN OF GIANT MAJIN / Colder Than Ice, Unyielding As Stone, Divine Retribution Is At Hand - 1966

Okay, here's one for Randall... In this follow up production, an evil warlord sets his sights on yet another village to conquer, this one by a lakeside. He kidnaps Katsushige and offers an ultimatum to the villagers to hand over one of their protectors, Lord Juro, in exchange for the release of the woman. But, Lord Juro and the brave village people defy the evil doers and decide to fight for their freedom. When their sacrifices seem in vain, they pray to their stone god to awaken and fight for them!

Here's Lord Juro, he has just found out that his village has been captured by an evil warlord and his people need his help desperately...

The warlord and his men outnumber and outgun the village people (ha ha) and they must submit to his orders, or, get sliced in half!

Some of the villagers escape to an island across the river where a peaceful tribe of people live. It's also where the giant stone protector Majin is located... The top still strikes a nerve with me for some reason, it's really surreal.

So, the warlord and crew, using boats, find the island, their plan is to destroy Majin and claim the island for themselves. The bastards stack a ton of explosives up and set the whole thing off, blowing the stone Hajin into a thousand pieces! Its head falls into the water.

One of the exploded pieces of the statue just happens to go through this dude's evil heart!

The warlord ties Katsushige to a cross and sets it on fire! She prays to Majin and a mysterious wind from nowhere blows the flames out.

Back at the ranch, Majin rises from the water and starts pummeling the warlord's men!

Majin goes to the village where the warlord has Katsushige bound. First, it easily pushes over that big stone wall before rescuing Katsushige from her tormentor.

Now, Majin has its sights set on the frightened little warlord... Oh, Lordie!

The warlord has set out more explosives for the giant, and, it goes off!....

Okay, now you really pissed him off!!..

And, this is the fate of the cry baby warlord after trying to escape in a boat. He looks pretty good as a dead man!

So, our big old hero, Majin, walks into the water, turns back to stone and disappears, just like I'm ready to do... Tune in tomorrow when we'll have even more cool junk 4 U.

SCANNERS / Canadian Film Development Corporation - 1981

Welp, here we go wif' another week of mayhem, here at The Dungeon!.. This is a movie by writer/director, David Cronenberg, VIDEODROME will be his next production. This story's about Darryl Revok, the most powerful of all the scanners is the head of the underground scanner movement for world domination! Scanners have awesome psychic power, strong enough to control minds and can inflict enormous pain and damage on their victims. Then, doctor Paul Ruth finds a scanner that Revok hasn't converted to their cause yet. He wants to use him to destroy the underground movement...

Here's our hero scanner, Cameron Vale, played by Stephen Lack. Unfortunately, he uses his power to torture this old biddy after he hears her talking trash about him at the food court.

He tries to get away but is sedated by some darts shot by some dudes chasing him! When he wakes up, he's strapped to a bed in an asylum... Having any fun yet?

A little later, Revok, played by the great Michael Ironside, uses his mind to blow this dude's head to pieces in front of the audience at a forum about mind control. The cops take him away, but, he escapes from the situation using his mental powers!

Here's the group of people trying to find a way to put the scanners out of business.

Cameron pays a visit to an artist to find out some info on the scanners. it doesn't end well when three of the bad guys show up and blow the place into pieces. But, Cameron uses his powers to kill the three of them, tot! That big head is interesting, the back side is open and there's a lounge area inside!

Heeey everbloody, join in... Do the scanner stomp... Do the scanner stomp, baby!

Revok fills Cameron in on his devious plan, lacing a health drink with scanner juice! Yeah, and, it's even good for babies, yow!

Well, that starts a big fight between good and evil, looks like it's gonna be pretty grim!

Things build to a crescendo before all Hell breaks loose...

It looks like Cameron has lost the battle and evil has won the day, but... He switches bodies with Revok and the tables are turned on the head scanner, game over, man.. Hurray!!

10 MOVIES TABONGA! LOVES TO WATCH AGAIN! Part 3

Here we go with the next pile of Movies Tabonga! Loves to Watch Again! These flicks are near and dear to my heart and hope you love them too...

Wow, I always enjoy CAPE CANAVERAL MONSTERS, it has a certain charm that newer movies can't match for me. We see Hauron and Nadja there, planning their next unearthly plot. Love this crazy little low-budget sci-fi thriller to pieces!

If Tabonga! didn't love to watch FROM HELL IT CAME again, well, there would definitely be something wrong with Tabonga!, if you get my drift!..

I saw FRANKENSTEIN 1970 in 1958 with my neighbors, we walked to the theater back then, it was like a 5 mile round trip, no prob. Anyway, I especially love that big old, mean monster!

A BUCKET OF BLOOD is one of Roger Corman's very best movies. My favorite thing about it is, and there's plenty to choose from, the fact that the club owner, Leonard, has discovered that Walter is using his murdered victims for his sculptures! But, rather than turn him in to the police, Leonard pretends he's clueless because he's making a lot of money from commissions by selling the pieces at the club! It is so freakin' funny watching the expression on Leonard's face when Walter shows him a new piece!! Too much fun...

ATOM AGE VAMPIRE is probably a movie that we don't think about that much, but, it's my favorite Euro 'needs radical disfigured facial surgery' flick there were so many of around that time. The scenes where Professor Levin gets into his domed atomic chamber and changes into the monster, alone, is worth the price of admission!

There is no way you can't love to watch THE HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND again, because, there's just nothing quite like it. I mean, the scantily clad gals, the dead guy, the spider, Gary, Gary as the monster, nude swimmers, the wild sexy party and music, etc, etc!

THE ANGRY RED PLANET was one of the first movies Eegah!! and I saw together at the theater. We loved it, lots of insane action and Martian creatures. Check out that photo on the lobby card... Man, something's very wrong there!!!

THE TIME MACHINE is another one that Eegah!! and I saw together. Damn, it was so freakin' interesting, Rod Taylor was just perfect for the part of our brave time traveler. And, don't forget those extra creepy Morlocks!!

THE SLIME PEOPLE is a horribly weird movie I love to watch again! I mean, like wow, it's totally insane, most of the time it makes no sense and the way the Professor destroys the fog machine at the end makes my gear slip a cog!! Here's another lobby card alert... Check it out, this shot of Bonnie and a Slime Person was taken specifically for a card, it does not appear in the movie! A couple of clues are, where's the fog?, and look at her blouse, it's undone and she's not wearing a bra!! An artist must pay attention to details!

Last on the list is ENEMY FROM SPACE, I was lucky to get to see this thing in 1957. Besides FORBIDDEN PLANET, this is second favorite flick from the fifties! Hope you enjoyed the trip, trip in again on Wednesday when Eegah!! brings on more Dungeon Cargo...
