SCREAM QUEENS I'VE HAD CRUSHES ON

It's time to share some of  my favorite scream queens that I have had crushes on, ones that are so lovely that it pulls on my heart strings...

Faith Domergue was my number one heart throb for years, a mix of intelligence and loveliness, and was perfect for THIS ISLAND EARTH and IT CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA, she was exotic.

Beverly Garland was one beautiful lady, appearing in THE NEANDERTHAL MAN, CURUCU, BEAST OF THE AMAZON, IT CONQUERED THE WORLD and NOT OF THIS EARTH. She always set my heart on fire, so attractive.

OMG, then there's Yvette Vickers, she exuded sexiness to the tenth degree and was basically type cast as a hussy. She starred in ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN and ATTACK OF THE GIANT LEECHES, two movies I saw back when they came out, and she even did a number of photo shoots when she wore little or no clothing! Ooh la la!!

After watching TERROR IN THE MIDNIGHT SUN I fell in love with Barbara Wilson, a real heart throb, there's even a scene in the cabin where you get to see her nude, in a shadow. She's a talented ice skater too! She's also the girl at the beginning of THE FLESH EATERS that loses her top and then gets her flesh eaten off.

Jeanne Carmen is another hot chick, and she flaunted it in revealing photo shoots posing partially nude. That lobby card  for THE MONSTER OF PIEDRAS BLANCAS even shows her dressing (or undressing) while Don holds a blanket over her!

Then there's Adele Lamont, how could I not fall for her in THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE! She was so lovely I couldn't believe it, and when I saw the Euro insert of the photo shoot where she's nude, I melted, what a good sport! A real goddess.

Lastly is Sally Todd, that's her backside shown in this lobby card for THE UNEARTHLY, and nice photo insert! She was one sexy gal and did a lot of revealing photo shoots. Then she was in one of my faves, FRANKENSTEIN'S DAUGHTER, where she is actually the ugly monster dude! These have been some of my personal heart throbs, love 'em!

SHE-WOLF OF LONDON - "Crazed Thing Of Evil" (1946)

It's time for a Saturday Night Special Classic in The Dungeon!

"She-Wolf Of London" was a Universal release five years after the success of "The Wolf Man," but the only problem was there was no big, bad wolf! I hate to break it to you, but I guess after 72 years, it's no secret that "She-Wolf Of London," although classic, is not a monster movie at all, but is really just a mystery movie!

The Allenby Curse was almost forgotten until somebody remembered it was just made up in the first place!

Nice pair of boobies, I mean bobbies! It's so easy to get confused!

June Lockhart is Phyllis Allenby! June Lockhart has 80 gazillion credits, but in my mind, will be most remembered for two!! She was Ruth Martin in 207 episodes of "Lassie," and she was Maureen Robinson in 84 episodes of "Lost In Space!" June is still going, and will be 93 in June of this year! Her last appearance was in 2016! What a gal!

Phyllis Allenby goes to sleep, somebody gets killed in the night, and when she wakes up, her shoes are caked with mud! She's having severe doubts about her sanity!

"She-Wolf Of London" is a rarity in the fact that it has an almost all female cast!

One of the few males in the story is Martin Kosleck as Dwight Severn! Martin would go on to be the supreme bad guy in one of The Dungeon's top fave movies, "The Flesh Eaters!" He might also hold the record for being in the most shows with alphabets in their title like, "Agent For H.A.R.M.," "The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.,""The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," and "The F.B.I.!"

In this film, Martin isn't much more than a victim!

Don't drink the warm milk Phyllis, or you're going to wake up with mud on your shoes again!

The other three main female characters are Jan (The Brute Man) Wiley as Carol Winthrop!

Eily (The Undying Monster, I Married A Witch) Malyon as housekeeper Hannah!

And Sara (Mad Love) Haden as Martha Winthrop! Sara was also in a 1943 film called "The Youngest Profession," which sounds crude by today's standards, but wasn't back then, that had a cast that also included Scotty Beckett and Agnes Moorehead! And how's this for weird, June Lockhart was on "Lassie" for seven years, and Sara Haden's uncredited role in "The Youngest Profession" was named Sister Lassie! I don't know about you, but I smell forgotten conspiracy!

Too much weird stuff going on, so Phyllis decides to do some research of her own on the topic of Lycanthropy!
Unfortunately, werewolves are not the problem! Greed is the problem!!

Now is this a fantastic shot or what? If you want to watch something that has a story that is predominately about women, "She-Wolf Of London" is a good choice, clocks in at sixty-one minutes, and would be a good alternative to watching those G.L.O.W. reruns again!

TABONGA'S ART INFLUENCED By HORROR And SCI-FI MOVIES

It's time to check out some Tabonga! Art, all influenced by Horror and Sci-Fi Movies! Most are recent pieces, all show how growing up in the Fifties warped my mind and even caused me to assume a monster's name!!.. Enjoy.

First up is THE GIANT CLAW, the atomic space vulture that came to Earth to lay its eggs and take things over with anti-matter trickery!

This alien plant thing was influenced by the creatures in THE ANGRY RED PLANET. You'll notice this one has a bug parasite coming out of its brain!

Here's another plant monster based on DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS. This one is a Fungus Triffid with deadly spores to decimate the puny human race!!

Then, there's this crawling hand from INVASION OF THE SAUCER-MEN, I've made and sold about 8 of these classic Paul Blaisdell creations so far and plan on doing more, they sell like hotcakes!

After doing the Saucer-Men crawling hands, I decided to do my own version. This is another creeping hand but has two eyes, it's actually just as shocking as the Saucer-Men version!

I've sold a pile of these guys, based on the Venusian monster in IT CONQUERED THE WORLD, another classic design by Paul Blaisdell.

Here's a freaky giant atomic-spawned killer clam, based on the ideas in ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS, one of my very favorite pieces!

I've done a few of these Meteor Monsters. inspired by the meteor-dust-coated FIRST MAN INTO SPACE. I also used this weird thing in a painting...

Here's an alien rock monster, love rock monsters! The movie I think of when rock monster is mentioned is MISSILE TO THE MOON, they are so kitschy-cool.

This is a Jungle Voodoo Bird, kinda based on the bird thing in CURUCU, BEAST OF THE AMAZON. I just bought a heap of feathers, so, looks like I'll be making monster birds for a while! In fact, I just scored a commission to make a full bodied GIANT CLAW!

I've done quite a few of these nudie jungle gals that are take-offs on VOODOO WOMAN.

This strange little thing was inspired by THE BLOB, done a bunch of these too. I love this piece, I sold it as an LSD HALLUCINATION!

Another BLOB monster, this one's a Tar-Blob that can be found on a distant alien planet!

Here's a very cool monster based on the creatures in THE GREEN SLIME, something you wouldn't want to meet up with in a dark alley! Or actually, anywhere!!

This freaky thing reminds me of the giant monster at the end of THE FLESH EATERS!

ISLAND OF TERROR inspired this piece, it's a slimy flesh-eating atomic mutation horror!

This guy is based on the wild rubber creatures featured in THE OUTER LIMITS series, I've made about 10 of them, they're always fun to build.

I've done a ton of robots too, mainly based on the DALEK bots, I think it looks cool to put eyeballs and teeth on them, makes 'em extra weird!

This totally freaked out crawling monstrosity was inspired by the British movie, ASYLUM. Remember the freezer scene with the attacking body parts?

I'm cheating on this one a bit... I got the idea from comic god, Basil Wolverton, in his story, THE BRAIN-BATS OF VENUS!

So, hope you enjoyed the show, I definitely enjoyed making these monsters. Join us again on Wednesday when Eegah!! will have another fun post to share with us!

By the way, if you're interested, you can find my artwork for sale on eBay, my seller name is 'bongo52' if you want to check them out!
