I searched through all my TV junk looking for anything Mummy, and, Hell No, I don't gots nuthin'... So, here's another Monster Kid Mome Movie by Bob Tinnell from 1977. I noticed that this one has fairly good production values, nice title card, no overexposed scenes, etc. In this 1:51 minute tale, our lil' mad scientist creates his own Frankenstein Monster!!
Looks like it's time to clean his corpse up a little before he brings it back to life...
Getting it right takes lots of calculations and equipment settings tuned exactly to the correct voltage to assure success!.. Hey, nice wallpaper.
It's time to test his theory about reanimating a pieced together corpse... You know, sparklers always do the trick for kids, I mean, wow, what a great effect. But, wouldn't it work better if both of 'em were lit, right?!
Okay, let's take a look under those bandages and see what we gots going on here...
WHAT THE!!..... He doesn't look that annihilated!.. Stupid kids!! What's that thing on his nose?.. Anyway?
Then, everything goes haywire! Typical monster, it wants to choke everything in sight.
He seems happy as Hell doing his thang, but, what's with the eye makeup?!
The Monster stands up and pushes our little mad doctor to the floor. And, wouldn't you know it, there's a pirate pistol just sitting there, what luck!
The little guy pulls the trigger, and POW, right in the chest!!
Our mad scientist is relieved, he lived to tell his tale. I wonder if he'll ever attempt to bring corpses back to life again! I would assume that Bob Tinnell played the Monster. So, join us again tomorrow for more from The Dungeon Gang!

SUPERMAN in THE MUMMY STRIKES - "My Mummy Done Told Me" (1943)
Okay, it's Mummies, Mummies, Mummies on this Weird Wednesday in The Dungeon!
So get ready for "The Mummy Strikes."
The title was liked well enough that DC brought out this comic in 1987 called "The Mummy Strikes!"
"The Mummy Strikes" was made in 1943, and is only a little over eight minutes long, and I'm sure you can find it some place on the internet to watch for free if you so desire!
I saw this, and all I could think of was Hurricane Dorian!
It would probably be a good time to donate to the Red Cross!
Any cartoon that starts off like this is almost guaranteed to be a laugh fest!
There's a short story here, but mostly this is about imagery!
If Mothers are sometimes call Mummy, shouldn't Dads be called Dummy?
Clark Kent pushes the release, and then this thing fires a power ball and charges up the five Mummies protecting the tomb of their boy King!
This is the first Mummy to snap out of it, and he seems pretty irritated by the whole scene!
He snaps his bandages off, and starts taking it out on Clark Kent!
Superman shows up, and there's a bit of a tussle. There was a lot of bravado, but the Mummies are no match for the Man Of Steel, and he disposes of them very quickly!
Lois Lane gets scared, and actually injures her arms to the point where she can't go back to The Daily Planet and write the article, so Clark Kent gets the scoop!
As far as more Mummy action in the comics, for a little over a hundred bucks, you can get a copy of this issue of "Action Comics" from 1967, and it's Mummy story called "The Face Of Fear."
This 1965 Superboy Comic #123 has a story in it called "The Curse Of The Superman Mummy!"
I'm thinking in 1963, that they might have just gone a little too far with Batman and Robin as the "Mummy Crime-Fighters!"
With all this Mummy Madness, I'm surprised there's not a story about a Mummy baseball player called "The Mummy Strikes Out!"
I'll be back on Saturday with more useless and monotonous Mummy information, so try and stay out of trouble until then!

THE MUMMY / Karloff The Uncanny... In His Most Startling Role! - 1932
Looks like it's Mummy Fever, here, at The Dungeon! In today's classic Universal tale, in 1921, a field expedition in Egypt discovers the mummy of ancient Egyptian Prince Im-Ho-Tep, who was condemned and buried alive for sacrilege. Also found in the tomb is the Scroll of Thoth, which can bring the dead back to life! One dark night, a member of the expedition reads the Scroll out loud, and then goes insane, realizing that he has brought Im-Ho-Tep back to life. Ten years later, disguised as a modern Egyptian, the mummy attempts to reunite with his lost love, an ancient princess who has been reincarnated into a beautiful young woman.
It stars Boris (TARGETS) Karloff, Zita (RAIDERS OF THE LIVING DEAD - 1986!) Johann, David (THE BLACK CAT) Manners, Arthur (THE MAN WITH TWO FACES) Byron, Edward (DRACULA) Van Sloan and Bramwell (THE MONKEY'S PAW) Fletcher.
So, in 1921, a British expedition team uncover the mummy of ancient Egyptian Prince Im-Ho-Tep and a chest containing Scroll of Thoth. After knucklehead reads the scroll, well, he unwittingly brings the mummy back to life! Of course, he goes mad after he realizes what he has done... When I saw this in the late fifties on TV, this is the part I remember most.
Then, in 1932, Imhotep mysteriously shows up in England with a tip as to where a lost tomb is located, so, it's back to Egypt...
After a treasure of artifacts is found, the pieces are brought back to England and are added to the museum's displays. Then, Imhotep seeks out Helen Grosvenor who he claims is his lover from the past. In a mystical pool, he shows her the events leading him to be reborn.
What happens is not pretty, being buried alive and all.
Here's a very cool shot of the evil Imhotep!
He wants to kill Helen and then revive her by reading the scroll out loud, making her immortal.
He's ready to commit the act when something seems amiss, so, he stops.
Helen pleads to the Egyptian Goddess Mut to save herself from the out of control Imhotep...
The statue comes to life and shoots a bolt of light from her talisman...
The scroll starts burning, and, Imhotep starts to deteriorate in front of our eyes.
Helen's saved by her beau just as...
The scroll burns up and Imhotep becomes just another skeleton, bringing our tale to an end. Join us again on Wednesday when Eegah!! will have another wild 'n' weird post for us!
