THE THREE STOOGES / "Pop Goes The Easel" - 1935

Okay then, let's get this road on the show!! Here's one us kids used to love, it starts with the Stooges out trying to drum up work for themselves...

Larry's sign says he'd like the job of Bridge (the card game) instructor, but when a man drives up in his car and asks him a questions about holding the queen, Larry says to make sure the king isn't around!

Curly tells a man that he hasn't eaten in three days! The guy tells him, don't worry, it still tastes the same, then laughs his ass off as he leaves with his brat kid with a double scoop ice cream cone!

Yeah, Moe strikes out too, mainly because he's a social misfit...

After the boys rile up a shop owner who yells for the police, a plain clothes cop chases them into a building. They duck into an art class where they find some clothes hanging there and pretend to be artists. The cop leaves but is still looking for them.

Curly shows off his artist chops by posing this girlie upside down, and, she's totally game! You know, those crazy art types are lots of fun, and possible geniuses!

The boys are getting ready to paint, Larry has two brushes because he's in a hurry. Moe has his brush that can get around corners. They end up painting the floor, and of course, paint themselves into a corner!!

You never know when the cop could pop in, this time the boys are dressed up as ballerina babes, and the cop gets all hot and bothered... YOW!!

Well, it's back to work as artists... The boys are being creative, Larry chucks balls of clay at a canvas as Moe and Curly direct him!

Everything's cool until Larry hits Moe in the head with a misguided ball of goo. It's not long before the boys are all fighting with each other, then one hunk of clay hits the model in the face and it becomes a free for all with the whole art class!..

The cop pops in one last time only to be hit in the face with some clay, and then has a giant vase fall off its shelf and bust into pieces on the top of the head!

The model also gets a big pile of clay tossed onto her chest, and why not?

It's a MADHOUSE!!.. Ricky!

This guy has been hit so many time, he just sits there and takes it like a man!

Moe stops the action and asks.. Hey, who started this fight anyway? Everyone answers.. You did!.. That's all folks, tune in tomorrow for more wild action, here at The Dungeon!! Be there or be a trapezoid.

DER BUCKLIGE VON SOHO - "The Hunchback Of Soho" (1966)

Tonight's Edgar Wallace Wednesday feature is another film that's hard to find!

I think it's supposed to be "The Hunchback Of Soho," but what do I know, I just work here!

It's 1960's Soho, so seeing some mädchen running around in her chonies is no big deal!!

Soho already has it's share of phantoms and gorillas, so might as well add a hunchback to the mix!

Hey pal, you might want to get those piston rings replaced!

I think if you sat on this chair, you might get a signal that somebody was listening in on the conversation!

Siegfried Schürenberg plays Sir John for the 9000th time!

Ilse Pagé played Sir John's assistant in many of these films, but not this one, so he can't help her out here!

They really used to know how to interrogate people back in the good old days!

Can you just smell the hair spray in the room?

 Peepin'......

Creepin' and....

 Sneakin'.....
"The Hunchback Of Soho" has got it all!

THE DOCTOR AND THE DEVILS / A Man Of Medicine...A Pair Of Murderers...An Unholy Alliance. - 1985

Since our last post had that deadly duo Burke and Hare in it, well, here's another ghastly tale based on those two creeps... So, the renowned professor of anatomy, Dr. Thomas Rock, teaches classes to medical students at the university. He uses his assistant, Dr. Murray, to buy corpses for his experiments from two local body snatchers, Robert Fallon and Timothy Broom. When the grave robbers are told to bring in fresh corpses only, and that they would receive double the amount of money for those bodies, they go on a killing spree. But, when Dr. Murray discovers that Fallon has just sold the corpse of the prostitute Alice to the university, he seeks out Fallon and Broom to stop them from then murdering Alice's friend, Jennie.

This one stars Timothy Dalton as Dr. Rock, Julian Sands as Dr. Murray, Jonathan Pryce as Robert Fallon, Stephen Rea as Timothy Broom and Twiggy as Jennie Bailey.

Holy freaking Cow! All of these people are still working!! Way to go guys, Twiggy currently has a show on Brit TV called TEA WITH TWIGGY!

Here's Dr. Rock giving a lecture at the university to students new to medicine... Yes, he shows them a cadaver, but one that's stinky and not very fresh.

So, Dr. Murray is receiving another corpse from Fallon and Broom. It is in bad shape and he tells the two that they will have to bring them corpses much fresher! If not, the university will not accept them!!.. Got it?!!

Dr. Murray is the real hero in this story, you'll see why.

So, they want fresh corpses do they, well okay, sure, why not?! Fallon hatches a scheme and gets Broom in on it, they'll simply put this sick guy, who's renting a room where they stay, out of his misery by suffocating him!

Dr. Murray arrives after the corpse was left with an assistant. Wait a minute, something just doesn't seem quite right... He goes to see Dr. Rock (nice room!) to tell him that he thinks Fallon and Broom are murdering victims before bringing them to the university! But, we need fresh cadavers, don't we! Quite a conundrum...

The two killers are stone cold alcoholics, it's almost like a fun game they're playing, And they're getting rich to boot!

Fallon and Broom like to frequent a bar where Jennie and her prostitute friend Alice hang out. But when Broom hears all about Fallon's plan the kill both girls for the money, he says that's it, he's had enough of Fallons glee in killing, and leaves...

So, Fallon kills Alice and takes her to the university, he's tells the assistant that he'll be right back with another body... Dr. Murray shows up to find the body of Alice, and it's still warm!

Fallon has lured Jennie into a secluded area and tries to use psychology on her, saying that if he killed her, she would never have to suffer the pains of life ever again, what a glorious thing!.. In the meantime, Dr. Murray locates the killer and puts the hurt on him!!

Broom turns states evidence against Fallon and the mastermind behind the murders meets his maker, and cries like a little baby, what else?! When he was sitting in his cell before the hanging, his council tells him, how ironic, you're going to end up at the university as a cadaver for the students to study!..

Wow, Broom gets off scot-free, and watches the execution from a barred window. He's also there as Fallon's coffin is being taken away, it's a good day in the neighborhood.

Dr. Rock escapes prosecution and wanders off into the sunset. He knows he was wrong to take those bodies... Tune in again Wednesday when we magically appear out of the helium, later...
