BEYOND ATLANTIS / Dimension Pictures - 1973

It's Fishy Friday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Here's a flick starring Patrick (son of The Duke) Wayne, John (BEAST OF THE YELLOW NIGHT) Ashley, George (ROBOT MONSTER) Nadar and Sid (SPIDER BABY) Haig and directed by Eddie (BLOOD ISLAND) Romero in an aquatic adventure with bug-eyed fish men from Beyond Atlantis! Filmed in the Philippines with a decent budget of $200,000.

Eegah!! sent over a lil' soundclip with a hit tune theme for your earjoyment, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there by the giant atomic clam, NOW, Rufus The Gnat! Here's an earfull of... BEYOND ATLANTIS!

Here's George Nadar in 1973 as island leader, Nereus, still fit as a fiddle. George was great as sixties action hero, Jerry Cotton, and, after he was finished in films, he turned to writing. George broke major ground in 1978 with his novel, CHROME, it was the first sci-fi thriller to have a homosexual theme that included gay robots!

This is his beautiful daughter, Syrene, played by the athletic, Leigh Christian. She was also in THE LOVE MACHINE and THE DOLL SQUAD.

This shot looks like an ancient scene except for that electric street light there on the left!

Sid Haig plays pimp, East Eddie, he wants to put a crew together to dive for pearls off a nearby island. He calls on his friend, Logan, played by our pal, John Ashley.

Logan then goes to the bar to find another diver, Vic, played by Patrick Wayne, and, he's in...

Vic's girlfried, who's also going with the boys on the adventure, is attracted to this odd mask exhibited in a local museum.

Nice shot of Logan and Vic going on their first dive after they arrive at the island.

Eddie makes the mistake of falling into a trap filled with deadly crabs and gets sliced up pretty good!

Syrene quickly finds out the motive of the new guests visiting her island... POILS!

Here's a nice shot of Syrene as she keeps an eye on the boys' activities.

Eddie blows up the palace of Nereus in order to make an escape from the island, where him and the others are now prisoners.

A poor fish man gets knocked in this pond of piranhas by Vic!

Syrene dies during an underwater battle with Vic's girlfriend and is buried at sea.

Logan steals the pile of stringed pearls coverimg Syrene and looks like a fool for his greed. Tune in tomorrow for more from The Dungeon Gang!..

WENN ES NACHT WIRD AUF DER REEPERBAHN - Erwin Halletz - "Trip With The Devil" (1967)

Welcome to Weirdass  L.wedneS.D.ay! Apparently, in 1967, while hippies were tripping on acid and listening to groovy music in America, in Germany, they had a completely different concept going on, at least according to this no holds-barred grudge match!!

The original title of this film is "Wenn Es Nacht Wird Auf Der Reeperbahn," in English, it was released as both "Uneasy Summer," and/or "Trip With The Devil!" So let's just get down to it, I'm sure you're wondering what the Hell a 'Reeperbahn' is! Well, The 'Reeperbahn' is a street in Hamburg, Germany that is in the heart of the red-light district! It's all about nighttime high life; there's restaurants, strip clubs, night clubs, discotheques, sex shops, bars, and brothels! Basically, every man's dream come true, but alas, there is evil in the kingdom!

Sunbathing time on the yacht is over girls, put your tops back on!

Erik (Shock Treatment) Schumann as investigative reporter Danny Sonntag has just got his ass kicked by a bunch of local high society punks for sticking his nose into their business, so he hits the streets to ask some questions! One of his informants is inside that rather large woman!

Their terror tactics are spreading far and wide throughout the community!

These mini-gangsters idea of fun is to slip the acid to underage girls mixed with booze, and sell them out as sex slaves to rich businessmen and politicians, so they can in turn slip them the olde Vienna sausage! On the right is the ringleader Jürgen (My Swedish Meatball) Draeger as Feuer-Hotte! I don't think you need to know much German to figure that one out!

For being a movie about L.S.D., the music as composed by Erwin (Das Go-Go-Girl Vom Blow Up) Halletz is vaguely interesting, but something by Quicksilver Messenger Service would have been better suited! Here's just a little taste of what I'm talking about!!

Danny Sonntag continues his search for Feuer-Hotte, combing all the dives and strip clubs!

I'd believe in reincarnation if I could come back here!

The boobie count is pretty high in this film, but considering where it's located, that shouldn't be that shocking!

In the center is Marlies Dräger in her very first role as one of the bad girls Karin! Marlies was in "The Man With The Glass Eye," and "Death And Diamonds," but all total she only had nine credits, and the rest of them are on German TV shows, so this will be the last time we'll see her here!

This is kind of gross! This is how German girls tripping on acid perceive their sugar daddy lovers!

Meanwhile, there's a whole other story going! In the tidy whities is Fritz Wepper as Till Voss and by his side is Marianne Hoffman as Lotti Norkus!  Till is the son of a wealthy man and is part of the acid gang, and Lotti is pure as the driven snow! Till is so in love, he's ready to quit his wanton ways and live happily ever after with Lotti, but it's not meant to be! You see, this scene is not really them together, instead, it's a hallucination Lotti's having after being fed some acid, and in reality, the man is Till's Father who seems to have a closet thing for virgins!

It's not a pretty scene when Till catches his Father in the sack with his drugged girlfriend!!

Lotti doesn't take the situation very well at all! Now there's another body to dispose of!

Time to have a meeting at the super creepy place!

You don't cross the gang, or even think about crossing the gang without expecting to pay some kind of price! Actually, these two were basically only guilty by association, but it didn't matter!

Despite all the hookers and whores, this story is not going to have a happy ending!!

This movie is a trip all right, but the story is a real bummer!

THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW / Reubens-Callner Productions - 1981

It's Mirthful Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. When I saw this years ago, I loved the crap out of it, it totally tickled my twisted comedy nerve in all the right ways! I have always preferred it over PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE because of the adult content, which makes it more interesting, I think.

Eegah!! sent over a fun little soundclip from this classic show, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there next to Tabonga's Magic Box, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula! Here's our audio offering for... THE PEE-WEE HERMAN SHOW!

Paul Reubens is Pee-Wee, what a perfect look and character he came up with for him, and, the audience goes wild over his hilarious antics.

Everyone used a bag of funny gags after this, he even pulls out a giant pair of men's underwear!

His telephone system is nothing more than a tangled network of Donald Duck orange juice cans on cords with pegs connecting to various plug-ins.

Don't forget about his mystical Genie and pal in a magic box, Jambi, played by John Paragon. John was also The Breather on ELVIRA'S MOVIE MACABRE.

Pee-Wee's pal, Hammy, pays him a visit. When Hammy's cute sister, Susan, comes looking for him, the boys put on their shoe mirrors and invite her to come inside...

But, the joke's on them, she informs the boys that she isn't wearing any underwear, which really grosses them out!! Nicole Panter plays Susan, she's the wife of the playhouse production designer, underground comix legend, Gary Panter! She also managed the LA punk band, THE GERMS!!

It's always depressing to see Phil Hartman here. Phil plays the salty and socially backwards sailor, Kap'n Karl.

Pee-Wee's curious about tobacco, so, the Kap'n loads up a pipeful for him to sample and says to take a giant puff. Pee-Wee turns green and goes on a psychedelic spinout after just one hit of the wacky weed!

Then, Kap'n Karl pulls out this drawing and asks Pee-Wee what's missing on the Mermaid! The answer is... A belly button!

Miss Yvonne drops in and does an exotic, girl dance. Pee-Wee gets a vantage point to watch.

When Pee-Wee asks this lady from the audience, who he's trying to hypnotize, "Do you feel hypnotized, Joan?" Joan says, "Yes." Pee-Wee looks shocked and replies... "You do?!!"

Then, we find out why he put her under the puppet's evil spell!

Pee-Wee orders a pair of hands for Jambi through the mail! There's also a poster of Rat Fink behind him.

Mr. and Mrs. Jelly Donut show up for a big musical number that includes Pee-Wee! That's a Flamingo Guitar Mr. Donut is playing!

Pee-Wee gets his wish in the end and flies around like a bird in the sky! Tune in Wednesday when Eegah!! brings us... Who the Hell knows! He just got a new batch of rare wild 'n' weird flicks to share!!
