PSI FACTOR: CHRONICLES OF THE PARANORMAL - "All Hallow's Eve" (1998)

Almost there kiddies, so here's a very cool Weirdo Wednesday Countdown To Halloween presentation for you from 1998.

As far as Halloween episodes of TV shows go, this 9th episode of "Psi Factor" IS a good one!

Just to start with,"Psi Factor" is hosted by Mr. Ghostbuster himself, Dan Aykroyd, and was created and written by Dan's younger brother Peter Aykroyd!

Some shows it's hard to tell, but there is no doubt that this is a Halloween episode!

It all starts off innocently enough with just some regular jack-o-lantern carving!

Luckily this is just the young lady's boyfriend!!

Her mask is interesting.

Then the carving takes a turn for the worst, and it all gets real and ugly fast, but no, her boyfriend didn't do it!

Now they have both become victims, and their faces have been removed! It's pretty grisly for a TV show!

The kicker is this murder is just like one in this book! Coincidence? Not likely!

The Halloween decorations are great through the whole story!

The next person who gets slaughtered is the clown that runs this mask and costume shop, and yep, it's just like in the book again!

Oh boy, the killer keeps the faces and makes them into masks!

Now we get to the fun part! Big kudos to the casting director for choosing a couple of awesome guest stars, starting with Linda (The Exorcist) Blair as the multi-personality author of the book, Rebecca Royce!

The other great guest star is the always cool Fred (Black Caesar, Hell Up In Harlem, Vegas Vampires) Williamson as TV host Fred Milton DiGenova!

Rebecca makes an appearance on Fred's show, so we actually get to see them both in the same scene.

Here's another one of Rebecca's books! This one was written by one of her other personalities, the childlike one!

Phillip (Dawn Of The Dead) MacKensie as Bart Haines, confesses that he is the murderer, but it seems pretty doubtful since he is confined to a wheelchair!

The next murder in the book happens at a Halloween party, so that's where the stakeout heads. Of course there are a couple of guys at the party in costume as The Blues Brothers.

Okay, let's get out of here and head to the final day of reckoning!
Once again, thanks to Lord Litter in Berlin, for unearthing this pretty darn cool show for us!

LEYENDAS MACABRAS DE LA COLONIA / Macabre Legend Of The Colony - 1974

Nothing says Halloween quite like Mexican wrasslers, I mean, like, they're already wearing masks! And if they want candy, all they have to do is beat up some kid and take theirs!!

In today's wild tale, luchador Tinieblas (The Giant) buys a macabre painting from an art dealer, he hangs it in his house and invites Mil Mascaras, El Fantasma Blanco (The White Ghost) and two pretty ladies over check it out. But when the clock strikes midnight, they are all transported back to colonial times where they have to go up against Spanish Conquistadors, Aztec warriors, an evil witch, and her bloodthirsty living dead mother, and who is the woman in the painting!

Here's where we start... The painting. But, instead of telling this confusing tale again, I'm going to make up my own Halloween Hoots, it's a natural and I thought it'd be funny, for a change...

At the wrassling stadium before they go trick or treating, Tinieblas and Mil are in a contest to see who has the best mask. The audience is asked to cheer for the winner, loudest cheer wins. Right out of the chute, Tinieblas gets booed!!

Man, candy's the root of all evil... These guys are freaking grown ups!!

The boys come upon some easy pickings, so, they beat the snot out of the nerds, grab their candy bags, and then run away!

This girl's brat brother ate her candy corn and she wants them BACK!!

Come here kid so I can strangle you!!..

Okay, who's up for some hot witches' brew?.. C'mon you chicken, it's yummy!

Mil and the gang meet up with their friends, ready for a night of fun and treats.

As the friends roam the neighborhood, they notice a cool-ass floating fantasm that someone put up. One of the girls actually started screaming after she saw it! Everyone laughed.

Great, great, great grandma wants to hand out candy but is told to wash her hands first.

Mil and the gang agree to be locked up in a cell for a friend's haunted house gag.

Mil let's a Halloween buddy try a Vulcan nerve pinch on him to see if it really works.

It figures, another fight breaks out over candy!

At a party, the two girls dressed up as prostitutes take a painting off the wall and smash it over the head of that stuck up bitch Stacy!

After wolfing down all their candy, everyone is whoozy and disoriented, they pledge to NEVER DO THAT EVER AGAIN!! Then the boys realize, they need to get back to the stadium for another scheduled wrassling match!! Oh, I gotta puke!

They show up and have to battle three guys whose candy they stole!

And the lesson learned is... Don't let candy rule your life, it ain't worth it, just look!! Welp, we gots only two more posts before Halloween, so, don't miss 'em!!

THE SNOOP SISTERS - "A Black Day For Bluebeard" (1974)

It's time for a Snoop Sisters Saturday Night Halloween Countdown Special!

"The Snoop Sisters" were only on for what is considered one season, and there were only five episodes total, but those six episodes stretched from December 18, 1972 until March 19, 1974.
Funny math!

"A Black Day For Buebeard" was the last of the episodes!

The special guest star for this episode was Mr. Vincent Price.

For a couple of older ladies, "The Snoop Sisters" are a barrel of laughs! That's Helen Hayes as Ernesta Snoop, and Mildred Natwick as Gwendolyn Snoop Nicholson! They're in costume because they are headed for a movie premiere, a tribute to their friend, the classic horror star Michael Bastion.

Michael Bastion makes a melodramatic entrance after a hearse drives up to the front of the theatre and they unload a coffin with him inside.

Of course, Michael Bastion is played by Vincent Price!

Always perfect timing, Michael's wife Amanda as played by Tammy Grimes, has just let him know that she has filed for a divorce!
In 1966, Tammy had her own TV show, "The Tammy Grimes Show," but it only lasted for six episodes.

"Gravely Yours" was a Michael Bastion retrospective.

This scene from the past is pretty telling considering what's about to happen!

There's only one problem. The only person enjoying the movie is Michael himself!

Michael goes to the restroom to check his makeup and when he gets back to his seat, he finds out that somebody has just stabbed his wife to death!

Michael gets arrested obviously, and now it's up to the Snoop Sisters to untangle the whole mess, starting with getting him out of jail.
These two are so cute together, it's a real shame the series didn't last longer.

Just like Vincent Price, Michael Bastion is also a supreme chef, so Gwendolyn arranges for him to make her lunch because they need to keep him distracted for a couple of hours. He wines and dines her, and she gets pretty drunk after about four bottles of very expensive wine. It's all quite humorous!

Gwendolyn is drinking so much, Michael becomes very animated and quite exasperated!

It's a good thing Ernesta finally calls to let her know she can stop the charade.

This is a great shot and as good a place as any to let you know that some of the other awesome cast members included names like.........

...........Roddy (Planet Of The Apes) McDowall,

Bert (A Bucket Of Blood) Convy,

William (266 Episodes of Knot's Landing) Devane,

David (The Big Lebowski) Huddleston, and.......

.......One of THE best comedians of all time, Mort Sahl.

Well, I hate to give away the ending, but he was innocent!
