ANYAB - "Fangs" (1981)

Have you ever thought about what the WWW stands for in every URL? Supposedly, it stands for World Wide Web, but from what the internet has turned into today, I think it really stands for Weird, Whacked Out, and Wild!
The reason I say that is because these days, films like this can be found for free on places like the Internet Archive, and if that isn't whacked out, I don't know what is! I didn't even know the damn thing existed until a couple of days ago!

So welcome to another Weird-Ass, Whacked Out and Wild Wednesday, and a 1981 film made in Egypt called "Anyab," or "Fangs!"

I don't even know where to start, but to do this correctly I should have gone back and watched "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" again, so I could compare scenes mano a mano, but I just don't have that much time, so you get what you get, and that, my friends, is "Fangs, Fangs, Everywhere!"

And I'm one of the chosen!
Hassan (The Small Female Devil, House Of Forbidden Pleasures) Al Imam is the narrator!

The Brad and Janet characters are played by Ali El Haggar, and Mounna Gbbr and are now named Ali and Mona! This is a musical so it makes since they had an Egyptian singer for the lead role! Otherwise, these are the only film roles ever by these two. Here's some music from one of the happier moments in the film!

There's a masquerade party going on with lots of musical song and dance numbers!

"Fangs, fangs, everywhere!"

Ahmed (A Trip Of Terror) Adawiyya is the Dracula character! He's a lot creepier that Tim Curry, in fact this whole movie is creepier than "Rocky Horror," and believe it or not, less campy!

Vampire basics 101!

Freakin' "Fangs" is way too long, but the feast scene was kind of interesting!

Right about here, I nearly lost it! You see that "Pink Panther" on the wall, well listen to this!
If you're too lazy to listen then I will explain that in a matter of minutes, the music goes from "The Munsters," to "The Pink Panther," to "James Bond!" The people that made this film had no shame!

Now this is a really scary vampire bat!

Am I here all alone, or am I a topper on my own wedding cake? I just don't know anymore!

Truer words have never been spoken! It's time for Ali to look inward, and do some real soul searching!

Here's the link on The Internet Archive! Knock yourself out! There's nothing to stop you but your own fear!

OUR GANG In "Spooky Hooky" / Hal Roach Studios - 1936

We got our TV in 1953, I was five, it was a treasure trove for us kids! THE THREE STOOGES were not shown until the sixties, but, we were totally happy with OUR GANG and THE LITTLE RASCALS, we watched the crap out of them...

I have a sound clip for your approval, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button located there by our fifties TV, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula!.. Here's a sample from... SPOOKY HOOKY!

The Circus is in town and the kids get all excited, I got to see the Ringling Bros. in 1954.

The circus is tomorrow, a school day, so, Spanky comes up with a plan to ditch school in order for them to go to the festivities!

But, after they find out that there's no school the next day, and, that Porky and Buckwheat have already put the note on the teacher's desk, well, they have to get that note back!

Buckwheat keeps guard but a mysterious owl gives him the creeps and now he can't whistle to let the others know there's big trouble!

As he goes to find the gang, he steps on a Moo Can (very popular until the sixties as far as I can remember) and scares him a second time.

The wind blew all the papers on the floor after they opened the window and have to try and find it to save their little butts.

Porky plays a little trick on them and when they tell him to knock it off, he replies, "O-TAY!"

Of course the custodian gets woken up by the noisy gang.

After Buckwheat get a skeleton stuck to his raincoat, all Heck breaks loose!

So, the gang catch colds and have to take their medicine, a double dose since they ain't going to the circus!

I had to take castor oil one time when I was a kid, it was the foulest stuff on Earth! Back on Wednesday for more stuff, from The Dungeon!

RAUMPATROUILLE - Peter Thomas - "Hüter Des Gesetzes" (1966)

Guten Tag und Willkommen im Dwräyger Kerker!!

For this Saturday Night Special I've got a real treat for you, episode III of that awesome 60's German TV show "Raumpatrouille!" It is not animated, there are no rodents, and it should never be confused with "Ratatouille!" The disc was donated to us by Professor Grewbeard a few years back! Not sure what the Prof is doing these days, but I hope it's some kickass music deep in the heart of Texas somewhere!

This episode of the German "Space Patrol" is titled "Hüter Des Gesetzes" which roughly translates to something like "Guardian Of The Law!"

This brainbat has developed a new robot that he's showing off to the crew of The Orion!

Seems he hasn't quite worked out all the bugs yet, and the robot attacks the audience, like some big time wrassler out of control!

Svengali seems unfazed by the whole incident!

But the crew has other thoughts!

From here on out, it's just good old fashioned German eye candy!

The music for this episode of "Raumpatrouille" was once again composed by Dungeon überhero PeterThomas! In fact, the only thing that would make this show better would be sub-titles and more music from Maestro Thomas!
Here's a short sample of what I'm talking about!
And HERE'S the place where you can buy song downloads or copies of the soundtrack on CD, or 180G vinyl signed by Peter Thomas! This just might be your lucky day!

I love the fact that all women of the future have the same hair style!

Time to get this adventure really rolling!

"Raumpatrouille" premiered about a week after "Star Trek" first aired on American airwaves!

Here are Klaus Holm, Wolfgang Völz, Eva Pflug, and Dietmar Schönherr, the main members of the crew of the spaceship Orion in a classic shot!

They've been dispatched to this planet to find out what's going wrong in the mines.

I dig this tubular walkway!

The mining robots are misbehaving and revolting!

What to do, what to do? Think fast Major!

This shot looks like some kind of robotic hen house to me! I can just see the eggs rolling down that corridor into collection baskets!

What else can they possibly do than zap the little bastards!

Time to get the Hell out of there and safely back home!

As my buddy Lord Litter in Germany would always say,
"CHEERS!!"
If you'd like to check out our past "Raumpatrouille" posts, you can find them here, here, and here!
