THE FLESH EATERS - The Teen Killers - "Pete's Beat" (1964)

The opening sequence of "The Flesh Eaters" has a boy and girl on a boat with the radio playing in the background, the voice on the radio, Jack Curtis says, “Now here's a real gasser, a hot biscuit from the old rhythm and blues oven, your old favorites, the Teen Killers singing Pete’s Beat.” Arnold Drake, the writer of "Flesh Eaters", who went on to write "Doom Patrol" & "Deadman" for DC Comics, wrote the song, whistled and sang it. "Behind this Membrane...You Will Be Driven To a Point...Midway Between Life and Death!" Oh, Yeah!!! Find It & Buy It!

MATANGO (Attack Of The Mushroom People) - Kumi Mizuno - "La La La Song" (1963)

I just read that in Japan, you used to be able to buy psilocybin mushrooms in vending machines; now a lot of this stuff is starting to make sense. "Attack Of The Mushroom People" is a crazy movie, and here's a taste of things before everything turned sour, featuring the world famous Kumi Mizuno just relaxing, having fun, and singing a whole lot of La La's. Cartoon Music!!

BLOOD THIRST - "In The Club" (1965)

Made in Manila in 1965, "Blood Thirst" wasn't released until 1971. A lot of cheap horror movies were made in The Phillipines during this time, mostly because of the easy access to awesome Filipino foods, like pork adobo, garlic chicken, lumpia and pancit, that were unavailable in the U.S. except in certain parts of the central valley of California. Here's a club scene with music that sounds like it's being made by some local Manila hopefuls. Get yourself a bowl of adobo and rice and enjoy!

THE HORROR OF PARTY BEACH - The Del-Aires - "Zombie Stomp" (1964)

It's still Summertime, so back to the beach we gotta go for another awesome rocker from "The Horror Of Party Beach." The Del-Aires are still there wailing away, this time on "The Zombie Stomp." This band and this song should have been destined for the top of the heap, because it just doesn't get any better!! Sometimes you just can't get it!

MISSION MARS - The Forum Quorum/Berge Kalajian - "Mission Mars Mix" (1968)

It's a 'Monsterpiece!' "Mission Mars" had such incredible music from start to finish, we're providing a 7 1/2 minute mix from start to finish that will astound anybody guaranteed! The young band that was making the music was called "The Forum Quorum." The writing credits go to Berge Kalajian, but I think the "Forum" were just cranking this stuff. Some of the best 1968 has to offer!! It's a "Mission Mars Mix" or maybe a better title would be "Remission Mars." Do yourself a favor, & go out & buy or rent this movie! It will fill that big gap you're feeling in your life!!! And while you're at it, buy a bunch of stuff by "The Forum Quorum!!"
