COLONEL BLEEP: Fire Water / Soundac - 1957

I'll wrap up my week with this wild cartoon series from the late fifties, the story goes like this... From their earth headquarters on Zero Zero Island, Colonel Bleep, Squeek and Scratch battled intergalactic villains such as Doctor Destructo, the master criminal of the universe. This was the very first color cartoon ever made for television.

I've got a little sound clip for your approval, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button over by our atomic cartoon machine, NOW, Rufus The Gnat!.. Here's a sample from... COLONEL BLEEP!

Colonel Bleep and the gang are trying to put out the flames on this raging planet in their rocket ship, the Travel Lab.

A portrait of our cute little crime fighter, Colonel Bleep.

Here's their nemesis, Doctor Destructo, great character designs by creator Robert D. Buchanan.

The Colonel gets ready to take on water from a space tanker to fight the flames.

But, Scratch takes a drink of water before he hooks up the hose and discovers that the liquid is rocket fuel instead of water!

So, he ties off the hose before he makes the mistake of hooking it up to the Travel Lab.

They discover that Doctor Destructo is manning the space tanker and take action. Squeak zeroes in on the villain and Scratch loads up a space torpedo...

He pushes the big red 'GO' button and ka-freakin'-blooie!! We're back tomorrow with another great review, jus' fer ya'll...
