DANGER MAN - Season 01, Episode 01 - "View From The Villa" (1960)

Well, if you've been paying any attention at all, then tonight's Saturday Night Special should be of no surprise to you! Welcome to The Dungeon, and an English TV show that came on the scene in 1960! It was called "Danger Man" and was very successful in Europe, but not so much in America, but when the show came back as "Secret Agent" in 1964, it became very popular in America too!

"Danger Man" is probably one of the fastest moving shows you will ever see! It was a half an hour series, so after commercials, that leaves you about 26 minutes, and they were not about to waste one second! The scenes move quickly, and the dialogue is short and to the point! There's just no playing around, and the lighting is second to none, and that all adds up to one damn good show! Exclamation Point!
I hate to be redundant, but to give credit where credit is due, you wouldn't be seeing this if it weren't for Lord Litter, film freak extraordinaire!! Cheerz!

The star of  "Danger Man" was Patrick McGoohan as American agent John Drake! Patrick was born in New York but moved to Ireland as a child! Oddly enough, in the "Secret Agent" show, he is still the same character, John Drake, but in "Secret Agent Man" he's from either Britain or Ireland. It's never made clear!

A banker has stolen 4 million dollars worth of gold bricks, and then he got himself murdered, and it's up to John Drake to find the money! Next stop....Rome!!
This would probably be a good time to try and help some of the recent earthquake victims in Italy!

Delphi (The Man Who Cheated Death, Frozen Alive) Lawrence is the bereaved widow Stella Delroy! No big alligator tears from her because her relationship with her husband had completely deteriorated, and she doesn't really care if he's dead or not!

John Drake is trying to find the banker's girlfriend, and a couple of clues lead to a dress shop owned by a woman named Gina Scarlotti!
Gina Scarlotti is played by a gal named Barbara Shelley! Barbara's got a nice list of credits including films like "Cat Girl," "Blood Of The Vampire," "Village Of The Damned," and "The Gorgon!"

A cafe artiste gives John Drake more clues!
The cafe artiste is a fellow named Charles Houston who played a character named Clogger Roach in a 1960 movie titled "Hell Is A City!"

Back to talk to the widow after she finally gets out of bed!

This painting taken from the dead man's place yields some pretty good clues!

Almost like a street map to the home of the artiste!

Patrick McGoohan was offered both the roles of James Bond and Columbo in his career, which is kinda weird because he looks like he also has a glass eye sometimes!

If you want  to be stealth, you've got to turn your collar up like this, otherwise you might get noticed!

Great shot of Patrick McGoohan who went on to produce and star in the iconic TV show, "The Prisoner!"

Barbara Shelley shows us the proper way to wear pearls!

John Drake and Gina Scarlotti find the gold in a crate that was only supposed to contain books, heavy books!

I love this shot through a dirty window!

Well, it looks bad, but don't worry because John Drake is going to be okay, and this show is going to go on for years!
If you want to find out for yourself, then this is your lucky day!
Enjoy every minute of your life, because no one knows what tomorrow might bring!

VAMPIRE SISTERS / Timewarp Films LLC - 2004

Here's one of Don Dohler's last movies, it's about three of the world's most beautiful yet horrific women (questionable), who engage in the world's oldest profession. Utilizing an interweb site to entice victims to their lair, the seductive Vampire Sisters fulfill their unholy desire to feed on human blood!

If you are not familiar with Don's work, well, he brought us plenty of wacky thrills like THE ALIEN FACTOR, FIEND, NIGHTBEAST, BLOOD MASSACRE, ALIEN FACTOR 2, etc.

Here are Darla Albornoz, Syn DeVil and Jeannie Michelle Jameson (not necessarily in that order) as the sexy Vampire Sisters, they lure horny dudes to their place using their web site.

Unfortunately, the sisters have an ulterior motive going on, freakin'... BLOOD!! M-m-m!.. Good for the bones, good for the body!

Here's the sisters' enticing online home page, are you ready to drop them a line?

Of course, our pal George Stover shows up for some fun and games, he watches the girls gyrate for him, just before they drain him of his nutritious hemoglobin!

I like this photo! It's a little weird seeing some nudity in a Dohler production.

Another girl wants to become a Vampire Sister, she puts on her new costume only to be tongued to death by the brunette sissy!

Then, this pelon shows up only to get in a fist fight with one of the girls.

These vampires just do not play fair, here's the best way to slow down a dude!

Dude wins the fight and digs a wooden stake into her evil heart... Game over, man?

NO!.. This gruesome looking male vampire comes out of the closet to even the score... Hurray!!

We're back tomorrow with something special for our wild 'n' weird viewers!

DANGEROUS ASSIGNMENT - Episode # 01 - "The Alien Smuggler Story" (1952)

"Dangerous Assignment" was not exactly a show I was familiar with until a few weeks ago, but thanx to our pal in Berlin, Lord Litter! I am now!
If you like all kinds of music and culture, please go check out his site!

I have only watched the first episode so far, but the first thing that I noticed was that Brian Donlevy only wears the top hat and tails during the introduction, I guess just to make it look more classy!

Brian Donlevy is the star of the show, and this is the way he really looks in the role of Secret Agent Steve Mitchell!
If you don't happen to know who Brian Donlevy is, here are a couple of key words for you!
"The Quatermass Xperiment," "Enemy From Space," and "Curse Of The Fly!"

The little sound clip from the introduction up top has got Nick Danger written all over it!!
RENOISSIMMOC?? What could it possibly mean?
What planet are these aliens being smuggled from?

Steve Mitchell is sent off to a sleepy little town in Portugal called Misembra!!

Wanna get some clues?? Better check in at the local fish market first!

The previous agent who was on the job is found hanging from the bell tower!

Cut to the swinging pendulum of a clock!

Uum!! Seems like some of the smuggled immigrants didn't make it! Talk about a ripoff!

Betty Jean Bierce, aka Jane Adams is the sumptuous Maria Delgada!
Jane was also in "House Of Dracula," "The Brute Man," and the 1949 "Batman And Robin!"
She just passed away a couple of years ago at the age of 95.

All the smoking over the years, how did we ever mange to survive?
PSA #13 - Don't do it kids! It looks cool, but it's really stupid!

"I Ain't no mountain goat!"

 Nice alarm clock!!

Classic portrait of Brian Donlevy!

Seriously, I gotta say, out of all the things in life I've had to worry about, one of them is not a 300+ pound dude in a suit chasing me through water!
Beep, Beep!! I'm gone!

While the guys duke it out, Maria Delgada just stands there looking horrified, but hot!

"Yeah, I met a hot chick when I was on this job, she's here with me right now! Thanks for asking!"
If you want to watch this first episode of "Dangerous Assignment for free, then head on over to the Internet Archive!
If the walls don't burn down, and the creeks don't rise, we'll be doing another one of these some day, until then, check back on Friday to see what Root Boy has to offer!!
