BUG / William Castle Productions - 1975

Welp, here's Dungeon Hero William Castle's last production (he died in 1977 at age 63)... The story's about an earthquake that releases a mutant strain of cockroaches with the ability to start fires, which then cause destructive chaos in a small town. Bradford Dillman plays science teacher, James Parmiter, his studies reveal that the bugs have strange, unknown powers.

I have a rowdy sound clip for your approval, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button located there by our treasured 'Don't Bug Me' placard, NOW, Rufus The Gnat!.. Here's... BUG!

As you will hear in the sound clip, the rollercoaster ride of destruction of an earthquake in the local church starts the story rolling along. Enjoy the noise!

Then, pick ups start blowing up! The little critters get into the gas tanks, and... BLAM!

Here's James out in the field, he discovers these weird bugs from a huge crevasse that appeared after the devastating earthquake.

Well, the bugs hit the trail and score a lot of points, burning flesh away whenever possible!

James starts some experiments with the little devils. Using a diving helmet, he pressurizes it to make it possible for a cockroach to mate with one of the creepy bugs. It works!

But, some of the fire bugs get out of their cage and attach themselves to James' torso, making for a painful night's sleep. You can hear him rip them off in the sound clip... OUCH!!

James has lost his wife to the bugs, now, he has sunk into a bizarre depression but still attends to the care of the little monsters. Then, things get insane, they are communicating with him!

The egg sack of the new creatures from the mating of the two insects is dragged to the crevasse by the worker bugs where they push it into the depths. It isn't long before the new creatures leave the nest, causing the mayhem you hear at the end of the sound clip.

It's sad, but, James must die for his meddling in God's domain. Be back tomorrow when Eegah!! gets out of his cave and joins us all here with another review!

BRIDELESS GROOM (Colourized) - The Three Stooges (1947)

You know, there are certain things I don't keep track of, but just kind of assume, like I assume I've seen every episode of "The Twilight Zone" and "Outer Limits," and probably every episode of  "The Three Stooges," but I don't honestly know any more. A lot of those viewings were a long time ago! Anyhow, that being said, I was playing a "Three Stooges" online slot the other night, and I didn't remember the exact episode, so I did a Youtube search, and bigger than shit, there it was, and it was in colour! Colourized B&W movies can take you aback if you're not ready for it, and I know a lot of purists hate them, but I have to admit, it looked pretty cool!

So let's get this show on the road already! Here's a great little Stooges tale titled
"Brideless Groom!"

Shemp is a vocal instructor with a very trying student! Give it a shot, and you'll hear what I mean!

Moe has just delivered the news that Shemp has inherited $500,00.00, but there is a catch, he either has to be married or get married in a matter of hours in order to get the money!

He calls every number in his little black book to no avail! Nobody will accept his marriage proposal!

Shemp drops something and because they're stooges, him and Moe get all tangled up inside a phone booth!

Outside Larry meets a girl who is interested in the marriage proposal until she gets a peek at Shemp at his best!

What a set-up for disaster!!

Shemp cleans up pretty good to make a pass at a neighbor who thinks he is a long lost cousin, and she's all over him until she gets a call from her real cousin! Then she blames the whole thing on poor Shemp! Christine McIntyre was a regular in a lot of Stooge shorts like "Punchy Cowpunchers," "Dopey Dicks," and "Three Hams On Rye!"

The only gal who seems to like Shemp is his vocal student Dee Green as Miss Fanny Dinkelmeyer! He doesn't really like her that much himself, but he's willing to do it for the money!

Fanny and Shemp are just about ready to tie the knot.........

.....When Shemp drops the ring inside of this piano!

There was an announcement on the radio that Shemp was going to inherit a fortune, so suddenly all the girls he was calling before now show up and want to marry him to get a piece of the action!

Well, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure out where this is all going! The stunning group of ex-girlfriends are Virgina (He Walked By Night) Hunter, Alyn (Blondie Knows Best) Lockwood, Judy (Two Nuts In A Rut) Malcolm, Nancy (The Ghost Talks) Saunders, and Doris (High Blood Pressure) Houck!

In a tussle, this gal ends up with a big hank of Larry's hair!

Doris Houck is the woman who is really putting the pressure on Shemp to marry her!!

Finally Shemp and Fanny are married, and Shemp bolts out of the room yelling "Help, Help!"
All hail Youtube for keeping this stuff alive!

GODZILLA 2000 / Toho Pictures - 1999

Now, here's a great newer Godzilla flick, absolutely one of my favorites. Godzilla returns with a new look and a powered up atomic ray, this time he battles a mysterious UFO that later transforms into a weird Kaiju monster, dubbed Orga. They end up in a final showdown in the Japanese city of Shinjuku.

I have a sound clip for your approval, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button located there by our monster model shelf, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula!.. Here's a sample from... GODZILLA 2000!

Here's a scene you never want to be in! Every shot in this movie looks completely realistic.

A scientist discovers a giant odd shaped rock in the ocean, so, he devises a way to raise it to the surface. But, the thing has a mind of its own and soon flies away toward japan.

Then, sensing something is up, our big guy shows up in Japan yet another time... Now what?!

The mysterious transformed alien saucer goes inland, the helicopter following to object is on the verge of being destroyed by sonic waves.

Things get strange, the saucer hovers over a skyscraper, then, changes into one weird looking creature. Toho studios is the master of coming up with unique monsters for us... Wild!!

The scenes of destruction are amazing, every shot looks like you are in a real disaster!

The alien changes again, this time into a really creepy reptile with sharp, giant claws.

It opens up its jaws to reveal a huge reptile mouth that can swallow a whole building!

In a very strange move, Godzilla walks over to the monster and sticks his head full into its mouth!! What the freakin' Hell is going on?!.. Is this the end of our mighty hero?!

Big G actually has a plan!!.. He starts heating things up to like a million degrees!

Then, it causes the monster to blow itself sky high. But, what about Godzilla, did he survive?

Oh Hell yeah!!.. It's a great victory gained in a most unusual manner, but, the perfect ending to a great movie! Be back Wednesday for another new post from Eegah!!
