LA CASA DEL TERROR / Diana Films - 1960

It's South of the Border Friday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. We gots a wild 'n' weird movie starring Dungeon pal, Lon Chaney, in a Mexican production where he plays a mummy brought back to life, then, of all things, he gets turned into a werewolf when the old Moon is full!.. What the Hell.

Eegah!! sent over a swinging little soundclip from this flick for our earjoyment, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there next to the werewolf mummy, NOW, Rufus The Gnat! Here's an earfull of... LA CASA DEL TERROR!

Germán Valdés aka Tin Tan, works in a horror wax museum that's a front for a doctor working his strange experiments. Germán was in other Mexican horror films including TRIP TO THE MOON, DOS FANTASMAS Y UNA MUCHACHA, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERETTA and of course, Jerry Warren's FACE OF THE SCREAMING WEREWOLF, which uses footage from this film.

The very identifiable Yerye Beirute plays Professor Sebastián. Yerye also starred in THE BODY SNATCHER, PEPITO AND THE MONSTER, HOUSE OF FRIGHTS, BRING ME THE VAMPIRE, FEAR CHAMBER, ALIEN TERROR and THE INCREDIBLE PROFESSOR ZOVEK. Sadly, Yerye died at the early age of 44 on Dec. 25, 1972.

The Professor notices this article in the paper. Hmmm...

At the unveiling of the famous mummy, the lights go off and when they come back on, the mummy has mysteriously disappeared. The Professor and his pals have stolen it and make a hasty getaway back to the lab while being chased by the police.

The crew use their special equipment in an attempt to bring the mummy back to life.

Get this, here's the spinning hibernation chamber used in FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON complete with electronic sounds from FORBIDDEN PLANET!

After all the work done to revive Lon, the Professor thinks he has failed yet again.

But, after everyone leaves the lab for the night, an electrical storm brings Lon back to life. The full Moon appears and he changes into his famous schtick.

The Professor has a special light beam that controls the werewolf when shined on it's head. Man, those Mexicans can really come up with the coolest shit!

Germán fills in for the psychiatrist, here, he gets the feeling that he's being watched!

Mirrors are always fun when the monster gets a glimpse of itself in it!

Germán tries to save his girlfriend from the wolfman and has a few adventures!

What else, the lab catches on fire at the end, bringing this fun 80 minute flick to a screeching halt.

SIN YOU SINNERS - "Killer Mobsters Meet Murderous Strippers" (Sure, If You Say So!) (1963)

"Sin You Sinners!" Yeah! Just Do It!! Welcome to the Wednesday The 13th special feature!!

Made To Shock You!.....The Most Daring Movie Of It's Kind? That's because it's the only movie of it's kind!

"Sin You Sinners" is a 1963 sleazefest about a beautiful stripper named Bobbi played by June Colbourne in her only role ever, just like most of the rest of the cast!

Nice tranquil domestic scene, right up there with "Leave It To Beaver!" Daughter, Mother, and Mother's Lover!!!

Bobbi's daughter Julie as played by Dian Lloyd, is just another confused young lady getting hit on by the guys at the local malt shop!

I forgot who the Hell this is, but I didn't forget how smoking hot she was with those antennae eyebrows and those pearls!

Bobbi has an amulet that keeps her young and beautiful, two things you need if you're going to be a stripper!

Julie is a freakin' space case!

Julie and Bobbi both think that Dave is the cat's pajamas, aka the coolest guy in the world! Dave is played by Derek (The Kentucky Fried Movie) Murcott!

This movie reflects a common sentiment familiar to modern society, "Men Are Stupid, Women Are Crazy!"

Bobbi has got some serious star-power down at the strip club! Wow, how about that M.C. Escher lookin' wallpaper!

After quite the power struggle, Julie ends up with the amulet! If I ever open the restaurant I've always wanted, I think I'll have Amulet Omelettes on the menu in honour of this movie, maybe even put some Pepsi in them! They must have spent a small fortune on that 'TELE PHONE BOOTH" sign!

So, no more timid and tepid Julie, from here on out, it's gritty, greasy and grimy!

The amulet is quite the power hound! There's no turning back for Julie now, she's in it for the long haul!

Mom basically burns in Hell, and Julie could care less, cause she's got all the guys under her spell now! If you just can't help yourself, and you really need to see this movie, your best chance is to find it streaming over at Creepster TV!

THE INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS / Universal Pictures - 1940

It's Invisible Man Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Here's the 'sequel' to the 1933 classic that starred Claude Rains, this time Dungeon fave Vincent Price plays the man in the title role... He's baaaack!!

Eegah!! sent over a soundclip of the theme for us, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there on the invisible wall, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula! Here's our audio offering for... THE INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS!

Vinnie plays Geoffrey Radcliffe, framed for the murder of his brother. He has escaped execution with the help of his friend, Dr. Frank Griffin, who slipped him a full syringe of invisibleness. Here, he's made his way back to Helen Manson's place, where he can hide from the authorities who are frantically searching for him.

When I watched this flick on TV back in the fifties, I remember this scene the most. Dr. Griffin's bringing this guinea pig back to the world of the visible.

Love this shot!..

The copper makes an inquiry at Helen's place where he gets to meet Geoffrey face to bandage!

After he makes a call to headquarters, the cop comes back to find just a pile of clothes, oops!

This is a great part, Geoffrey plays some fantastic pranks on local shyster, Willie Spears, played by Alan Napier. We also remember Alan from CAT PEOPLE, HOUSE OF HORRORS, THE STRANGE DOOR, THE MOLE PEOPLE, ISLAND OF LOST WOMEN and PREMATURE BURIAL.

What a work of art!!

Dr. Griffin and Helen are concerned about the side effects of the invisibility formula and have a plan to prevent full dementia from setting in.

Geoffrey escapes and tracks down Richard Cobb, crooked mine boss, he ends up being dumped out of a coal car and gets deaded.

On the run and nearly insane, Geoffrey takes this scarecrow's clothes and heads back into town to find Dr. Griffin.

The doctor's new serum works and we finally get to see Vinnie's face!
