THE DOLL SQUAD / Feature-Faire Productions - 1973

It's another Monday at The Dungeon with Tabonga!.. I got this Ted V. Mikels flick off TCM lately, so, time to check it out. The story is pretty simple, it's about a squad of beautiful government agents whose job it is to catch a group deadly saboteurs, what else?! Ted was also responsible for stuff like DR. SEX, THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES, THE CORPSE GRINDERS, CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS, THE WORM EATERS and TEN VIOLENT WOMEN.

It starts with the with the explosion of our latest rocket during its launch!..

Eegah!! sent over a sound clip of the James Bondish theme from this flick for us to check out, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there by the big canister of germs, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula! Here's our audio offering for... THE DOLL SQUAD

Here's Dungeon hero Anthony (THE MIGHTY GORGA) Eisley with his government pal watching the launch, moments before the rocket is blown to High Hell!

Here's a guy in Texas, publically intimidating anyone that doesn't agree with his red state gun rights! Just kidding, this is a paid assassin putting a bead on the lead Doll, Sabrina. No, but, that really happened in Texas...

Here's top billed, Syrian born Michael (IT'S ALIVE) Ansara as Eamon, head of a crime ring with an army, making a call to his inferiors to cause more trouble.

And, here's our pal Rafael (THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES) Campos as pill popping informant, Rafael! That way, no one would get his name wrong during shooting!

The Dolls show up and put Eamon's unprepared but sharply dressed army dudes to shame!

Here's that canister of milk, err... germs, that I mentioned earlier!

Eamon catches Sabrina, played by Francine (SPACE MONSTER) York, taking pictures in his house, so, threatens to deep six her! But, two minutes later, they're making up and out!

Sabrina knocks Eamon onto the floor and pours ice water on him, then electrocutes his ass!

The coup de grâce comes in the form of a gladiator sword through Eamon's bleeding heart!

Tura (FASTER, PUSSYCAT! KILL! KILL!) Satana shows up to help Sabrina put an end to all the madness!! Tune in Wednesday when Eegah!! will have something new for us!

THE NAKED KISS / Leon Fromkess-Sam Firks Productions - 1964

It's just another Friday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. We gots a film by Sam Fuller, a pioneer of independent film making, it's pretty gritty and deals with a few taboo subjects. Sam has credits in 12 different film catagories, produced SHOCK CORRIDOR a year earlier and even had an acting credit in 1997, the year he died!

Kelly's a prostitute who knows how to get back at people who done her wrong! Here, she's worn a wig as a disguise to fool this fool, he ripped it off just before she cold-cocked him and then took the cash he owed her!

Eegah!! sent over a rough and tumble swingin' little soundclip for our enjoyment, sooooo, you can push that big red 'GO' button over there, NOW, Rufus The Gnat! Here's our audio offering for... THE NAKED KISS!

Dungeon fave Anthony Eisley plays police Captain Griff, we remember Ant from such flicks like ONIONHEAD, THE WASP WOMAN, 3 NUTS IN SEARCH OF A BOLT, THE NAVY vs THE NIGHT MONSTERS, JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF TIME, THE MIGHTY GORGA, THE MUMMY AND THE CURSE OF THE JACKALS, THE WITCHMAKER, DRACULA vs FRANKENSTEIN, THE DOLL SQUAD, MONSTER, DEEP SPACE and EVIL SPIRITS!

Griff checks out some new hot tail in town!

Kelly (Constance Towers) gets a job at the children's hospital and then gets engaged to local millionaire, J.L. Grant, played by Michael Dante. Everything seems to be going her way, but, there is such a thing as karma...

Kelly pays Candy back by cramming cash into her mouth, as heard in the soundclip.

This prop ('Charlie') she's leaning on gets a freakin' film credit!

Eventually, Grant is caught with the goods and has to explain to Kelly why he's attracted to young girls!

She doesn't really like his explanation... Oh, and, the wedding's off!

Griff gets the job of interrogating Kelly for Grant's murder, but she claims temporary insanity for her defense.

The only way for her to verify her story is to find the little girl from her prison cell and have her tell Griff the story!

FYI - 'Naked Kiss' is the kiss of a pervert!

THE WASP WOMAN In Color / Film Group Feature - 1959

Welcome to Monster Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. I'm pulling out all the stops with this colorized redo of a post we did back in 2007! Eegah!! and I actually saw this one when it came out, we even gave it a bad review in our self published monster rag in 1964, Dwrayger Dungeon. It stars Susan (WAR OF THE SATELLITES) Cabot, Anthony (THE NAVY vs THE NIGHT MONSTERS) Eisley, Barboura (A BUCKET OF BLOOD) Morris, Michael (RETURN OF THE FLY) Mark and William (NOT OF THIS EARTH) Roerick with Bruno (DEMENTIA) VeSota and Frank (BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE) Wolff, and, the screenplay was written by Leo (THE HAUNTED PALACE) Gordon! It looks sooo cool in color, too!

The beginning theme for this flick is a real favorite of mine, it's by the inimitable Fred Katz, and, we remember his work in A BUCKET OF BLOOD, BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE, THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and CREATURE FROM THE HAUNTED SEA. We Love Fred, here at The Dungeon!!

Letz bring in our fuzzy little Dungeon helper and button pusher, you know him, you love him, Ralphie The Tarantula! He's joined us for one reason, to start our Eariffic soundclip. So, push the big red 'GO' button there next to the hamster wheel, now, Ralphie! Listen to some sounds from... THE WASP WOMAN!

Nice shot of LA traffic and architecture in the late fifties.

These were typical secretaries back them, it wouldn't fly today... "How'd you like to have this phone wrapped around your ear, wise guy!"

Janice Starlin hires mad scientist, Eric Zinthrop, to help try and save her cosmetics company with his wacky ideas.

He injects her with his special queen bee serum, which is supposed to start reversing the aging process.

But, things begin to go wrong, like, this experimental kitty cat has not only grown younger, it's become an attacking nightmare!

Stunned, dazed and confused, Zinthrop wanders aimlessly into the street only to be hit by a car. That's Roger Corman as the doctor, and, there's Frank (MONSTROSITY) Gerstle, too.

Janice continues taking the serum as Zinthrop has lost most of his memory from the accident. Co-worker, Arthur Cooper, snoops around in the lab to try and find clues to the recent mysteries in the company...

And, becomes her first victim!

Hey, Bruno, watch out, yer next!!

It doesn't just end there, that night, when she trys to get some answers about what's happening to her...

She gets upset and changes into the monster, then, takes care of the nurse!.. Get it?

Mary tries to help out but she rattles Janice into yet another transformation!

No telling who's responsible for creating the monster head.

Bill and the old man wait impatiently for the elevator to come down to their floor... Bill finally gets fed up and takes the stairs.

The shadows here, as Wasp Woman drags Mary down the dark hallway, are both weird and mesmerizing.

Bill has to quickly defend himself from the charging creature, she's quick as Hell!!

Zinthrop picks up a bottle of carbolic acid and scores a direct hit on Wasp Woman's head just before he keels over, dead!

Then, Bill uses his stool to push her back through the lab window on the 46th floor!

"And... Wasper Woman was dead!" *Hermanos Guzanos quote from their 'tune' of the same name.

This half hour colorized version is from Elvira's ATTACK OF THE KILLER B-MOVIES. It also features shortened colorized versions of KILLERS FROM SPACE and MONSTER FROM GREEN HELL along with THE NAVY vs THE NIGHT MONSTERS!

We'll end with this very desirable Mexican lobby card... Oh yeah, Eegah!! used to have the 1 sheet poster.
