"The Phantom Of Soho" revolves in and around a strip club, so it makes good sense to use a composer with great jazz sensibilities when it comes around to the soundtrack. Bring in Martin Böttcher if you want the best. This is Good Stuff!!! Cool And Sleazy, those horns just stretch across the soundscape, it's too much!

LA MORTE VIENE DALLO SPAZIO (The Day The Sky Exploded) - Carlo Rustichelli - "Two Scenes" (1958)
Wow, this is one Happy couple!! You know, we're really starting to see a pattern forming in these films now, back in the 50's & 60's, if the people aren't drunk or total lushes, then they are just super extra bitchier than ever! It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to realize that the whole reason this guy wants to go off into space, is to get the hell away from her!!!! We're the lucky ones, we get to hear the nice jazzy score without having to be in the same room with her!
Yow! Are we having fun yet? You'd think the sky is falling or something!!

GOJIRA, EBIRA, MOSURA: NANKAI NO DAIKETTO (Godzilla Versus The Sea Monster) - Masaru Satô - "Big Battle" (1966)
"Godzilla Versus The Sea Monster" and the music of Masaru Satô are riding high on the old Christmas gift list around here this year. Godzilla for everyone, anytime, anywhere, 24-7, that's what we always like to say, and this is some of the best! It's a big battle with some classic 1966 rock! Merry X-13Mas!

THE WILD WORLD OF BATWOMAN - Erich Bromberg (Jerry Warren) - "Slip Her A Mickey" (1966)
At the very beginning of this fascinating film, you have this scene where the bad guys are going to drug one of the Bat Girls. The accompanying music is a crunching little guitar driven noodler, that cooks along quite nicely before hitting the turn at approximately 1:13, at which point, this track really starts diggin' out! Those dudes need to be dealt with! Better call Batwoman!! Really! Don't know what musicians Jerry got to play this music, but it is inspired! Download it! Crank It! Rent It!

BLOOD THIRST - "Swingin' Immunity" (1965)
Here's guessing that 6 year lag between production & release of "Blood Thirst" is the reason we can't find any information about the composer or the musicians for this film. Irregardless, it's a swingin' mass of curiosity to be enjoyed by all, & here's a noteworthy scene with some great music & very interesting dialogue that we like to call..."Swingin' Immunity"
"I don't suppose you've ever lived with a maniac, have you?" Gawd, she is such a liar!!
EIN TOTER HING IM NETZ (Body In The Web) - Karl Bette/Willy Mattes - "Singapore Swing" (1960)
Like a lot of movies from the 60's, this motion picture had so many different names. We talked about it here before & have always referred to this film as "Horrors Of Spider Island," but it was also released in the USA as "Girls of Spider Island," "It's Hot in Paradise" & "The Spider's Web." All great titles and all very appropriate! So, after the opening credits there is a very short intro scene that has another great little swingin' number by Bette & Mattes that cannot be ignored. We like to refer to it as....."Singapore Swing"

THE NASTY RABBIT - Arch Hall & The Archers - "Main Title" (1964)
The only possible justification for making this film as far as we can figger is, Arch Hall Sr. must have seen "It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World" the year before & thought he could capitalize on something oddball like it. It's a real shame & a pity too, because Arch & the Archers with the help of Pat & Lolly Vegas are looking and sounding better than ever. The band is tight & all the songs rock. The music is literally the only thing decent in the whole film. The rest of it will just want to make you tear your hair out. They just couldn't seem to distinguish between funny or dumb and stupid, & it's just not funny. "Invasion Of The Star Creatures" is 100 times funnier than this film, & I'm telling you, that's bad!! Seriously though, I don't care what anybody else says, for 1964, this band is Rockin' and it's a real shame they were reduced to mere background music, even if it is the best background music you're ever going to hear!
