It's another Way Out Friday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Here's our second dose of weirdness from that far out TV series Eegah!! and I got to check out way back in 1961. This fun little story's about an actress who's been hired to play a murder victim in a production, then, she finds herself running for her life after she's trapped in a dark studio with a bizarre night crew and weird actors.
Eegah!! sent over a soundclip from this great TV series for our earjoyment, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there by the moldy script and pack of smokes, NOW, Rufus The Gnat! Here's a taste of... DISSOLVE TO BLACK!
It's already time for a dreamy L & M commercial, soooo, light 'em up if you got'em!..
Blogger pic upload is out of control! Here's what makes us mad.. We take the extra time to make sure the photos look the best they can using brightness, contrast, etc. on Photoshop, and, Blogger The Gremlin makes them look like freakin' crap!!!!, like the photos today. Arrrrgh!!
Anyway, back to the show...
Host Roald Dahl weaves a twisted little yarn at the beginning that has nothing to do with the story, as heard in the soundclip!
Actress Bonnie Draco gets the call for night shoot, she'll be playing the part of a murder victim! Everything seems fairly normal at first.
Then, the night crew shows up!... Ay! Caramba!
Then, the other actors start getting hostile toward one another and start pulling out their knives!
Bonnie tries to hide in the darkness to get away from the others, which doesn't work.
Later, she's stalked by a dead actor!
And finally, actress Bonnie Draco just dissolves to black!
Roald leaves us with final thought, see you next week, same time, same channel!

Looks like a secondary influence on CARNIVAL OF SOULS, which was made the following year!
