KING KONG In Color / RKO - 1933

Welcome to tonight's Halloween Moldie Oldie Monday, here at The Dungeon... We gots a special color version of one of the greatest monster movies ever made!!

One note, Dungeon Hero and writer, Edgar Wallace, died in Hollywood during the making of KING KONG at the young age of 56.

The music is by the incredible Mr. Max Steiner, Max had a staggering 333 credits in the Music Department and 248 Composer credits! That totals 581, in case you're wondering! Oh yeah, there's also 116 Soundtrack credits!! Here's a few titles he worked on... THIRTEEN WOMEN, THE ANIMAL KINGDOM, THE MONKEY'S PAW, DIPLOMANIACS, SON OF KONG, SHE, THE THREE MUSKETEERS, KID GALAHAD, THE AMAZING DR. CLITTERHOUSE, GONE WITH THE WIND, THE CASE OF THE BLACK PARROT, CASABLANCA, THE BIG SLEEP, THE BEAST WITH FIVE FINGERS, FLAMINGO ROAD, THE JAZZ SINGER, THE SEARCHERS, THE DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS and TWO ON A GUILLOTINE!

Come on in lil' Dungeon pal, Rufus The Gnat, come on in and push the big red 'GO' button and start our Eariffic Earclip! Hits it, Rufus!!.. KING KONG In Color!

So, enjoy the many great stills... IN COLOR, BABY!!

Fay Wray as Ann Darrow... Man, she was a beautiful lady! You can just barely see through her flimsy garment!

Skull Island and The Giant Door!

PAR-TEE TIME, EVERBLOODY!!

Oh crap, they saw us! I put this pic in 'cause it's in the soundclip!

It doesn't take long for hardboiled Bruce Cabot, as John Driscoll, to fall for Miss Ann Darrow! Can you blame him?

There wouldn't be much of a story if this didn't happen!

And, now it's time to meet the mighty Mr. King Kong!

There is adventure after adventure when the men go looking for Ann inside Kong's jungle domain!

Yes, there's even a panty shot!

Enter the Pterodactyl nemesis!!

Kong pulls up the rope so John and Ann have to let go and plunge into the water below!

Kong is pissed and everbloody's gonna pay for it!

This gas bomb is the last thing Kong remembered before he left for... New York City!

I wonder if anybloody got their money back?

Time for more revenge!.. Better run!!

Kong goes looking for Ann, and finds her!

Kong takes out a few planes (not to dinner) before the inevitable...

It was Beauty that killed the Beast!

Hey John E. - Those are some real interesting theories all right, that's obviously more than a hat rack between your shoulders! I'm good at visualizing things in paintings, and for me, the skull was pushing it some! All interesting nonetheless, thanx for sharing! Anybody else wants to see John's King Kong size ideas, here's the link:
