NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES / Cinematográfica Calderón S.A. - 1969

It's Blood and Sex Monday with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. You can tell from the poster that there's some sexy dames in this offbeat horror movie from Mexico! So, enjoy, amigo!! One poster caption reads.. "Warning: this film contains scenes of extreme and explicit violence."

Eegah!! sent over a soundclip of the theme and ending from this wild and wooly flick, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there by the bloody ape heart, NOW, Ralphie The Tarantula! Here's our audio offering for... NIGHT OF THE BLOODY APES!

The story starts with two sexy wrestling women going at it, when, one of them suddenly dies during the match!

We get to see an eyeful of female flesh in this banned flick, so, you might want to check it out if you haven't seen it already!

A doctor and his assistant steal an ape from the local zoo and transplant its heart into the doc's sick and dieing son!

The son lives, but, he's transformed into a Freakin' Bloody Ape Man! The very identifiable Gerardo Zepeda plays the monstruo, as he did many times in numerous Mexican horror movies from 1963-2004. His first credit was for one of my favorites, DOCTOR OF DOOM.

The monster escapes from the lab and quickly finds this nudie cutie just finished with her shower! You'll have to watch the movie to see what happens next...

There's even some good old pre-code horror comics eye gouging!

The doc and his helper then steal a woman from a hospital bed and transplant her beating heart into the monster in order to change it back to human!

Take five!!.. Boy, what a timely piece of fine art that is! ~

Even though the son is now human again, that reddish glow could only mean one thing!..

It's baaack!!

The boy just doesn't give up!

I really like this shot.

The son is killed at the end, and, the doctor has no one to blame but himself! Check in on Wednesday to see what Eegah!! has in store for us!
