Talk about a Weird Wednesday, well, it doesn't get much weirder than this 1958 feature called "Teenagers Battle The Thing!"
I found after I watched it, that "Teenagers Battle The Thing" was really in colour! I got this copy off of the Internet Archive, so I don't know where the colour is, but what do you want for free?
Obviously from the footage seen here, it doesn't really matter whether it's in colour or not! Colour isn't going to make it any better!
"Teenagers Battle The Thing" was made in 1958, but wasn't ever released to any theaters, but in 1975, the makers decided to give it another chance, so they added about 30 minutes, and released it as a TV movie titled "Curse Of Bigfoot," so it went from just boring to totally boring for an even longer time.
Getting kind of arty with this transition shot of Bigfeet tracks!
This is the first glimpse we get of the monster! Not great, but I've seen worse!
Ivanpah looks like a happening spot!! It's actually Agua Dulce, California!
These are the innocent kids out on a field trip with their teacher!
Don't you know the guy behind the pole was pissed about the angle of this shot!
Wow! Look at this kids, a really olde rock!
The guys leave the two girls behind, and they find a plaque with some writing on it, and when they dislodge it, they find a hole underneath, so they drop down into the hole!
They find this mummy or some kind of petrified form, and somehow manage to get it up and out of the hole in no time at all! Must have been good Boy Scouts!!
Got the body thing stashed, so now it's time to kick back and relax!
But the damn thing comes back to life, escapes, and runs right at the camera!! Maybe he thought it was a 3D movie because he does it a couple of times!
The creature mauls the local Sheriff!
So, they shoot the sumbitch!
And just to make sure, they douse it with gasoline and torch it with some flares!!
The Sheriff lives through the whole ordeal, and then it's The End, and it couldn't come soon enough for them, or me!! If they cut out all the bullshit, this would actually make a pretty good seven minute movie! If you really want to see for yourself and you have an Amazon Prime account, "Curse Of Bigfoot" streams for free in colour!
