SELFIE - "A Daywalt Fear Factory Film" (2013)

This Saturday's Countdown To Halloween Special is a very short film made by Drew Daywalt for his Daywalt Fear Factory label.

This is my kind of film, and just like the title, it's short, sweet, and to the point!

"Selfie" is an interesting film on a couple of levels. Number one is that while all the people associated with this film are recognized on IMDB, this movie is no where to be found among any of their credits.

"Selfie" is basically a solo performance by Kendall Jones who doesn't speak throughout the whole thing which is odd since she is also an attorney who has won over 100 awards for public speaking!

So you've got yourself a good looking young woman home alone watching a horror movie on Halloween, what the Hell could possibly go wrong in three minutes and forty-four seconds?

I think my favorite part is that she is wearing a "Blob" tee-shirt, and they use the song "Beware Of The Blob" by The Five Blobs in the closing segment.

She gets a text from a friend.

The picture she gets turns into a puzzle using an app on her phone.

She puts the puzzle together in a couple of minutes and then decides to take a selfie and send it to her friend as a puzzle.

Her selfie pic comes out good so she goes ahead and turns it into a puzzle she can send back to her friend.

She starts putting her own puzzle together, but before she finishes..................

..................She gets the munchies!

Time for some microwave popcorn!

She then finally gets back to doing her puzzle..........
