It's the last installment for this way out TV series with Tabonga, here at The Dungeon!.. Today's weird story is about a mischievous boy, played by very young Richard Thomas, who allows his neighbor's pets to escape, then earns a reward for returning the animals, a sweet deal if you can swing it! Anyway, he meets a strange new neighbor, Mr. Rana, who has an affinity for frogs and even has a frog pond in his house! Neighbors start disappearing but more frogs are appearing, and so, the boy makes a deal with Mr. Rana to catch flies for his amphibians.
Eegah!! sent over a soundclip from this wild episode for our earjoyment, sooooo, you can push the big red 'GO' button there by the atomic frog maze, NOW, Rufus The Gnat! Here's a little taste of... THE CROAKER!
Blogger is up to its old tricks by tinting and fading the black and white photos we post, trying to make us look stupid, I guess..
Host Roald Dahl introduces the tale as he puffs away on an L&M, as heard in the soundclip.
Breck had become a new sponsor, so, let's go behind the scenes to the artist's studio where this gal is being turned into the latest 'Breck Girl' and could be found on the back cover of numerous magazines.
John McGiver plays Mr. Rana, he catches young Jeremy Keeler in his house and is furious, but, by the time Jeremy leaves, they have a business deal, he will catch fresh flies for the old weirdo for 25 cents a jar!
Fred and Cora Tench catch Jeremy in their house and he tells them that Mr. Rana has a frog farm next door!
Fred is looking for any chance to get away from nagging Cora, so, he goes next door to chat with his new neighbor. Mr. Rana has a special brew he puts into his drinks, and, before long, Fred starts croaking!
Cora calls the cops to report a missing husband and dog. Police Sgt. McGoogin tries to piece together who Cora's talking about, hubby or the dog! There seems to be all-out war of the sexes in this episode, earlier, Fred told Cora that she looked like their dog!
Fred comes home in the form of a frog and freaks Cora the eff'ing out!! I swear, it looks like they were having a hoot taping this one, Madeleine Sherwood nails this comedic scene, she totally hates frogs!!
She runs out of the house and goes next door for help, and, runs into Mr. Rana. He finally calms her down and slips her a froggie!
Soon, Cora starts croaking like a frog and joins the other neighbors.
Roald sums up the damage and has an L&M as he does so.
Light 'em if you got 'em!.. Tune in tomorrow when Eegah!! unveils another surprise from his bag of rare tricks!!
