  3. I totally understand your frustration, but please don't delete this wonderful 'blog!

Sounds like your main problem is with Box.net, so why not find a different place to upload your tunage, like Rapidshare?

  4. that's a damn shame. i just found y'all yesterday. i was so looking forward to sifting through your film list + discovering all the films i was born to watch. i wish there was some way to save your blog from extinction.

i do understand your frustration though + the urge to just end it all in utter destruction.

i'll do my best to absorb what i can before it's demise.

  8. Hey, this is Sean - I'm the Community Manager with Box.net. I can appreciate where you're coming from. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do - when we get a takedown request, we have to comply. If you'd like, you can contact us and we can give you the info of the organization who ordered the takedown. Ultimately you would have to take it up with the governing organization, we can't really do anything to intervene.

Looks like you have a lot of fans, so I hope your blog can continue in some form.

Feel free to email sean [at] box.net if you'd like to get in touch with the org that ordered the takedown.

  9. Guys & ghouls:
Didn't I just write a mail to you about this same subject a little while back? I can understand your frustration, and I am so sad that it has overshadowed your enjoyment of operating this fine blog.

If this is indeed it, once again I want to thank you for all your hard work and for all the films and music you posted. And beyond that, both the humor and reverance with which you addressed these films. Forry would be proud.

I think you have my email, if not, you can get it from my blogger profile. Please feel free to write me and tell me of any future blgging enterprises. I would even be up for contributing a review a week of some good/bad obscure film.

Good luck to you, whatever you do! You will be missed.

    Peace,
    Zilla

  10. Thank you for the ingenious angle in this blog. Well done! I'll miss this a lot...

  11. I'll second what others have said - why not just try Rapidshare or Megaupload? Many others load their stuff there without a single problem.

Meanwhile, it might be worth seeing if you really can find out who's complaining. Might just be one of the many self-righteous busybodies out there who can't resist "tattling" and ruining it for everyone else.

Anyway, loved your blog - easily one of the best looking (if not the best) I've found!

  12. I sure will miss this site, but I know you guys will come up with something else as equally cool if not way better. You knuckleheads just can't be stopped!
    Love you,

  13. Leave it up and wait for the official threatening letter. No one has the time to waste on sueing you!

  14. Much as I've enjoyed the music it might be time to stop posting it. The screen captures and pithy comments are enough to keep me coming back.

  15. Hi MCJ, we find out a few thing that make us feel better, hopefully no more big problem.

  16. Darling creatures of the night,
You can avoid psoting stuff from the major studios! If there is no official soundtrack released that changes the rules slightly based on US copyright laws. You will be asked to remove things and expected to comply before any legal action will be taken, because words are cheaper than lawsuits. You can also (if not already) post a disclaimer that states that you recognize any formal copyrights and this blog is meant to support and promote all films featured. How about links to buy the movies too, thus showing said owners that you give readers a choice of where to purchase featured films. As big as a collector as I am, this site has given me insight to many films I have missed. You can't let the site die or I will have to bite it and bring it back to life forever.

  19. Can't say much that others haven't, but me and a buddy have just recently found your site and we were HEARTILY enjoying all the razor-sharp, SCREENCAPS from the cool and RARE movies you share (especially the CHEESECAKE SHOTS!)- and we weren't even sampling the music files... I've enjoyed all the films covered that I haven't seen for years and DROOLING over others I haven't... (Where might one find a copy of TOTO IN THE MOON???) I'm betting you have MANY viewers that are just enjoying the pics. Perhaps another service for the sounds is in order... but keep on, keeping on with your coverage and recaps of these GREAT GENRE FILMS.- Dr. Mark

PS- One request... is there any way you could break down your output into smaller pages?- With all the screencaps- for those of us still on dial-up, it takes FOREVER for a whole page to load!

  20. Yo Doc,
Okay, I cut it down from 31 to 13 posts per page, so that should load up a little faster for you! Aren't you glad you didn't know about us when it was 500 posts per page! You can thank Mr. BaliHai for that!! You're just lucky enuf that you can actually get "Toto In The Moon" on Netflix!!

  21. Crybabies?! Moronic? How dare you!
After all, your names are eegah! and Tobonga, and your probably can't even
go outside and play, when you're watching all of these horror flicks, why you're just some pimple faced kid who works the counter at the local video rental shop...grrrr.

  22. They didn't have video stores when we were pimple faced kids, as a matter of fact, you were lucky if there were 5 channels on your TV...aw!!!
