THERE'S ANTS IN MY CHRISTMAS SHORTS - "Merry Christmas 2021"

Tired of the same olde Christmas movies, but still feeling nostalgic for more innocent times? Well, here's a series of 13 Xmas shorts that are all under thirty minutes each for you to indulge in, or you can even share them with your kids, if you're feeling really sadistic, because it's time for the
Saturday Night Christmas Special in The Dungeon!
Let's get this video party started with this Little Audrey cartoon titled
 "Santa's Surprise" from 1947.

From the Fleischer Studios in 1948, here's an awesome copy of "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer!"

Another incredibly exciting short from 1948 you don't want to miss, is
(Be forewarned, there is violence!)

In 1949, Vincent Price narrated the classic Charles Dickens' tale "The Christmas Carol," that also had Dungeon Hero Robert Clarke in it.

From 1951, you can catch this Sid Davis freakshow called

The 60's was a weird time to make Xmas movies, and if you watch "A Visit To Santa" from 1963, I'm sure you will be in complete agreement, but you have to live through it first!

From 1964 we have "Santa's Magic Kingdom" by K. Gordon Murray" cause everyone knows that nobody does Christmas like K. Gordon Murray.

And if you just can't get enough Xmas K.GM in your life, also from 1964 is "Santa's Enchanted Village," that brings us a look at what life was like in "Santa's Village."

If you're totally Xmas masochistic, and that still wasn't enough for you, there's always "Santa Claus And His Helpers" to turn to, another 1964 K. Gordon Murray classic.

Let's just skip the 70's and jump right to 1982 and finish this up with some cartoons like
In 1987, they came out with "A Garfield Christmas Special."

There are also a couple of things from the 90's worth watching, like "What A Cartoon!"

......Last but not least, from 1994, nothing says Christmas like Ninja Turtles.
Merry Christmas Ya'll!
Big Kudos and Thanx to The Internet Archive for hosting all these shows for us, drop by and throw a dollar in the box! It'll make you, and them, feel good for the holidays!

ULTRAMAN / "The Underground Destruction Work" - 1966

This is episode 22 of the first season of Ultraman, and it's a doozie! But first, Merry Xmas Eve to all visiting The Dungeon over the holidays.

In this story, a French Science Patrol agent is in Japan to accompany Hayata back to France to use his expertise in some rocket installations there.

At the Science Patrol's headquarters, she has to prove her identity, she is.. Agent Anne Morhim.

After Hayata and her leave for France in a Science Patrol plane, strange destructive earthquakes hit the local areas.

Then, as they are driving to a destination, some Science Patrol guys see the French Agent walking down the street.. What the!

So, they follow her only to find a device she planted that's causing another earthquake.

Later they find her setting another earthquake device but she speeds away her little sports car before they can detain her.

Then the fraud reveals her true face.

Moments later, a giant underground monster crawls out from beneath the surface. This particular monster is named.. Telesdon!

Both Anne and Hayata were kidnapped by the underground civilization that are here to take over the world! And they plan on using Ultraman (they know Hayata is Ultraman! Huh) to help them in their effort to take over. Hayata's kept in a dream-like state.

They all reveal themselves to him, and command him to become Ultraman and start attacking the people on the surface.

Hayata becomes Ultraman.

But something goes wrong, Ultraman starts glowing like the sun and is too much for the intruders, and they all.. DIE! What they didn't know is that Ultraman cannot be corrupted by any outside force!!

Ultraman shoots up through a tunnel connected to the underground installation below.

He flies to battle Telesdon and they grapple like they're MMA fighters!

They even use some of the some of the same moves to punish their opponent.

Then, Ultraman lifts the monster over his head and tosses it into a hole. Believe it or don't, the monster tries to get up but falls back down, closes its eyes and... DIES!

Hayata and Anne finally go to France to work on the rocket development program there. Welp, Eegah!! is up tomorrow with your Xmas treat, sees you then!

HELLHOLE - "Pray They Don't Succeed" (1985)

"Hellhole" is a potpourri of 80's Pop Culture, but is that enough to make it a good movie, or worth watching? Well, not exactly......but at least it works for a Wrecked or Wretched Wednesday down in The Dungeon!

The title "Hellhole" fits this movie perfect, because you're going to feel like you fell into one after a few minutes of watching.

Ray (duBEAT-e-o) Sharkey does a good job of playing a despicable scumbag named Silk. Always living on the edge, Ray died in 1990 at the age of 40 from AIDS.

Judy (The Huggabug Club) Landers is a gal named Susan. That was Susan's Mother being approached by Silk, and she sees him strangle her. She falls out a window, and loses her memory, but Silk and his buddies still need some information from her. And so it goes.......

The Ashland Sanitarium for Women is where Susan ends up after the accident.

Susan only has amnesia, but all the other women in the joint are nuttier than a bunch of Christmas fruitcakes.

Marvelous Mary (Get Crazy) Woronov plays the evil Dr. Fletcher, and is the real reason I watched "Hellhole." I'll watch Mary Woronov in anything, and her performance in this film almost justifies wasting an hour and a half watching it.

Oh to be able to go back in time and see Mary as a go-go dancer in the Velvet Underground's Exploding Plastic Inevitable. That thought alone gives me the impetus to start working on building a time machine.

"Hellhole" rates big in the boob count department, and a lot of it is thanks to Edy (Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls) Williams. In Edy's first appearance, there was no nudity interestingly enough, because it was an episode of "The Twilight Zone" called "The Dummy," where she played a chorus girl.

Slimy Silk poses as an employee at the sanitarium in order to try and squeeze some information out of Susan.

Boy, you just never know what they going to serve for lunch in places like this!

Dr. Fletcher likes to lend a helping hand to girls in need, and then she takes them to her special happy place called the "Hellhole," and tortures them with stuff like chemical lobotomies.

This cast of genuine characters includes former child evangelist Marjoe (Starcrash) Guntner as Dr. Fletcher's lapdog Dr. Dane. He's not as vile as Dr. Fletcher, but he doesn't really try and stop her either.

I can only imagine what this conversation was really about! What a truly dynamic duo!

Guess who??
Really, if this film was only about an hour and fifteen minutes shorter, it would have been absolutely fantastic.

There is also a softer, warmer side to Dr. Fletcher, but don't be fooled, underneath it all, she's still a 100% bona fide cruel and wicked bitch!

Susan attempts to escape, only to come to a face to face confrontation with Dr. Fletcher.

Judy Landers, Mary Woronov, Edy Williams, and if that's not enough for you, Terry (Mighty Joe Young) Moore also makes an appearance as Sidnee Hammond. Terry is still working today, and is of course, notorious for coming out in the 70's as the secret wife of Howard Hughes. I guess it's never been proven one way or another, but there has to be some validity to the story, because the estate did pay her a hefty amount back in the 80's

Now here's a look you don't often see from Mary Woronov, and proof that she looks good no matter what the circumstances might be.

Let's just say that in The End, Dr. Fletcher really gets a taste of her own medicine!
"Hellhole." Action, Drama, Horror, Thriller, or..................Comedy? You tell me!!
