THE OUTER LIMITS / "The Special One" Season 1 Episode 28 - 1964

In today's classic TV episode, the parents of a child science prodigy are approached by a mysterious 'government' official called Mr. Xeno, who offers to give him special private tutoring. Unknown to them, Mr. Xeno is actually an alien from another planet who wants to use their son's talents for an evil purpose, to help them invade the Earth!

With this one, we've posted the complete first season of The Outer Limits on DWRAYGER DUNGEON, and, we have only nine more season two episodes to complete the entire series!! So, search our huge archive for all those other great adventures.

It stars Macdonald (THESE ARE THE DAMNED) Carey as the dad, Richard (PREMATURE BURIAL) Ney as the alien, Flip (PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISIES) Mark as the kid, Marion (HAPPY DAYS) Ross as mom and Edward (BLACK ZOO) Platt as the head of the education program. By the way, Richard Ney was married to and divorced from Greta Garbo.

After Mr. Xeno hypnotically kills off an angry dad in the teaser, he pops in here to pursue the next child in his unearthly quest...

He then arrives unannounced at the Benjamin residence where he shows them his Dept. of education credentials, he's there to tutor their super smart son, Kenny, in science.

But, Mr. Benjamin's getting a weird vibe from the man even though he's happy for his son.

Things are moving along quite well with the tutoring taking place in Kenny's room, with the door shut of course. The kid can already walk through walls!

Mr. Xeno shows Kenny (who already knows Mr. Xeno is from another world) how he breathes, being from another planet and all. He has two flaps below his neck, yuck, with tongues!

Kenny's dad is beside himself with Mr. Xeno's intrusion, something is just, WRONG!.. He goes to see Mr. Terrence, the head of the gifted student program and finds out that the school DOES NOT send out private tutors to any of their students!.. He tells Mr. Terrence that a Mr. Xeno has been coming to his house as many as three nights a week! And. he finds out that they don't have any Mr. Xeno working for them! Dad's acting a little too frantic and is kindly axed to leave.

Mr. Xeno gets aggressive after he's confronted by dad. They live in a high rise, so, what better way to get rid of the pain in the ass than by having him jump out the window!

But before that can happen, Kenny changes the air in the room into an unbreathable mixture for Xeno, using an alien machine he has built and mastered!

So cool, the alien is choking to death on his own device made to use against Earthlings!..

His gill lips or whatever just ain't working, somethin's all haywire!.. (pillow feathers)

Mr. Xeno takes a fall down the stairs and is nearly dead, when, Kenny turns the machine off... You see, Kenny figured out what Mr. Xeno was doing early on and was just playing along until things were right.

He allows Mr. Xeno to leave and go back to his planet, and, he'll turn the device over to the military for development in case they try to come back! The kid's the hero this time! Tune in again on Wednesday for more new May Pole Posts, here at The Dungeon!!..

SLEDGE HAMMER! - 'Trust Me, I Know What I'm Doing" (1986)

I think it's about time for a Sledge Hammer Saturday Night Special, and it took our German Correspondent Lord Litter to remind me, and I'm glad he did, because I had forgotten all about this outlandish 1980's TV series!

The very first episode of "Sledge Hammer!" was titled "Under The Gun."

David Rasche IS "Sledge Hammer," a man who knows how to get things done, a man who talks to his gun!
David is still working hard today and has at least three projects in post-production!

Awesome Anne-Marie (Prom Night) Martin is Dori Doreau, Sledge Hammer's new partner!
This show was the last of acting for Anne-Marie, who gave it all up to pursue her true love, horseback riding!

In Sledge Hammer's world, there is only one way to get things done, and it always includes firearms!

The Mayor's daughter has been kidnapped, and although Sledge Hammer is currently on suspension, he is brought back on the job, because just maybe it's going to take something, or somebody unorthodox to get her back!

Sledge Hammer doesn't care about rules, he just cares about getting the job done, no matter what it takes, or who gets in the way!

To say that "Sledge Hammer" is politically incorrect would be an understatement! I seriously doubt this show would have made it by today's standards, and that's what makes it so watchable and funny!

There's a sniper on the roof of this building, so Sledge Hammer blasts the whole damn thing to get to the guy!

Sledge Hammer knows how to deal with a defective vending machine.
Don't screw around, just shoot It!

Dori turns away for a moment and John Vernon who was also the Mayor in "Dirty Harry," Harrison (Supertrain) Page as The Chief, and Sledge Hammer all get caught checking her out!

The North Beach district of San Francisco was where the whole strip club phenomena started back in the 60's, and "Big Al's" and "The Condor Club" were two of the earliest!

Sledge Hammer has a very unique way of getting criminals to spill the beans!

This is the face of no mercy, and Sledge Hammer means it when he says.....
"Trust me, I know what I'm doing!"
And....you better believe it!

ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN / "Treasure Of The Incas" - 1952

In today's adventure involving another cave, Lois is on her way to an auction featuring South American items. Before she enters the building, an older man asks her to purchase an Inca tapestry for him because he says that it wouldn't be safe for him to buy it. Soon after that, the man is killed by a guy with a big scar on his face. The tapestry is then stolen from Lois, so, she and Jimmy follow the murderer to Lima, Peru to locate the tapestry and catch the person behind the murder.

The main reason I chose this episode is because the review on the box said, quote... "Lois Lane, chloroformed while investigating strange disappearances, is held prisoner in Mme. Selina's wax museum of the living dead."

Here's Lois talking to the old man, he gives her $1000 in cash for the purchase, she can use whatever it takes to seal the deal...

Then, two minutes later, the old man is dead in an alley and the guy with a big scar on his face is on the loose somewhere in the city.

Not seeing the old man after the auction, Lois goes back to the Daily Planet and show Clark and Jimmy the tapestry. Jimmy points out a hole in it, so, why would anyone want it...

The guy with the big scar follows Lois and takes the tapestry, then conks her on the head with his gun! Yeah, yeah, the scar's on the other side of his face!

And, this shot will definitely prove that Lois and Jimmy actually went to Peru!

Lois takes her complaint to the authorities in Peru. She's yakking away when the Captain points out that Mr. Kent has already been a big help...

That "How did you get here, fly?!" routine is used twice in this story!

Okay, see, told you, big old scar!! Dude's a super criminal in Peru, the authorities just can't seem to bust his ass...

The guy's name is Pedro Mendoza, at the moment he's stealing the other tapestry needed to figure out where the hidden treasure's buried.

Lois and Jimmy are befriended by a friend of the Captain, and he's offered to drive them around to see the sights while they wait the results of the inquiry. Lois berates Clark as they head off with their new found friend! Clark's on his way to the library.

Once he takes them out into the desert, he orders them out of the car and drives away! Well, you know, it figures, something's gotta give to move the story along...

So, our guys start walking. Lois is going to tell Perry White that he owes her a new pair of shoes. When they start walking, Lois goes up a hill first, Jimmy puts his hands on her bottom and start pushing!!! They cover it up a little with a long fade into the next scene, butt... Yeah!!

Anyway, Lois and Jimmy find the car they were riding in and go into a cave located there.

Wow, Lois really showed Clark how to be a reporter!!..

At the last second Superman breaks into the cave, he locates the lit piece of TNT Pedro and his pal placed to expose the treasure, with Lois and Jimmy just feet away!!

Superman tosses the TNT down the cave toward Pedro and the other guy, and it explodes, trapping the two there until he grabs them for the police. First though, he has to untie Lois and Jimmy and get them out of the cave.

The treasure is exposed in perfect condition, not like it would really look after an actual explosion! Anyway, here we go again with another month of precious Dungeon Cargo, here at The Dungeon!!..
